33 Scars

"I am ready to face the past. But I don't think I'm strong enough to keep fighting my fears." Crystal said with her eyes closed.

Flashes of her horrible past were flowing through her eyes.

She clutched the table cloth tightly, and took a deep breath.

"We are here with you always..." Olivia back hugged her.

Rain took Crystal's hand in hers and stared deeply into her eyes, "What is your biggest fear?"

Crytsal was about to close her eyes once again to avoid tears from falling down, but Rain stopped her, "Don't close your eyes..... I want to look into them when you answer."

Olivia shot her a warning look of, 'What are you doing?'

Crystal forced herself to smile, her smile didn't reach her ears. "Why?? Rain."

"Because I can see it in your eyes, if you lie."

Olivia rolled her eyes, "So dramatic."

"What I meant was, why do you want to know my biggest fear? Don't you already know?" Crystal points her finger towards her scars, first at her wrist and second at her neck.

"The biggest one is on my stomach...." her voice wavered in the end.

Olivia squeezed Crystal's shoulders, "Scars don't define you."

"You are beautiful and you will always be." Rain said softly.

"Yeah, I know my scars have faded now, but my wounds are still afresh." Crystal said looking down her at wrist.

'C & W' was scribbled mutliple times with a blade.

Those horrible memories.....

"Is this your only biggest fear?" Rain pressed her more.

Olivia gave her a frustrated look, "Stop pushing her..."

"No, we can't do it, if she doesn't accept her fears !!" Rain didn't bulge.

"Would you be ready, if we throw you in front of Orlando?" Olivia challenged.

"If you don't remember, I have been prepared since one whole year." She winked at her.

"You have been keeping alot of secrets, it's against our CROSS rules."

"Believe me, we have to make a new rule book soon... with all it's members present." Rain addressed more on all the members.

Crystal stilled, hearing the latter words, "Yeah, you are right... it's my other biggest fear. To see her again after all these years....and Susie"

"We have just been in touch through phone, it's truly been a heck lot of years.... but I know, time will come when we all will be back together....." Rain assured her as well as Olivia.

Olivia raised her brows in question, 'In touch with Sam?'

Rain simply nodded, lucky that Crystal didn't catch her and Olivia's gazes.

"Since you have let out your fears now, we should probably take a little rest?" Olivia suggested calmy.

"We will, until she accepts her last fear...." Rain interrupts.

Olivia stamped on Rain's foot, 'Stop it!!' she silently yelled.

"You are so stubborn...." Crystal laughed, trying to divert the topic.

"Just like my mother hen." Rain retorted, earning a sigh from Crystal.

"You are Techna, you know everything.....Why bother asking?" Crystal raised one of her brow in mischief.

"If you say it out aloud, and accept it, you'll feel much more relaxed and calm." Rain said her in a serious tone.

"Ignore her...." Olivia said, grabbing Crystal's hand.

"No. Please..... Accept it Crystal, now or never. You are about to make a move, and you gotta teach Watson his lesson."

Crystal stopped hearing Watson's name, her mind going back to the day when he threatened her , "I would have destroyed you....."

That sentence has been giving Crystal sleepless nights since years, it was one of her biggest fears.

But she never accepted it, until now.

"You are right. I will soon teach him a lesson! He wants to destroy me, let's see who does that to whom." Crystal vowed.

She was not the shy, innocent girl anymore. She will fight for herself and her girls.....

Even if it means facing her fears, she will gladly do that...
