I am Akina, goddess of creation and fortune, I am one of the strongest beings out there. I have everything I could ever want. I can do anything and everything. Humans grovel at my feet to grant their pathetic and greedy desires. However, I have come to realize that my forever life is boring. Almost nothing gives me pleasure anymore. Thus when I felt something go wrong with the creation of one of my poor creatures, I immediately checked it out. Maybe because it was my job or that I was starved for entertainment. Either way, I found that a newly born daughter of one of the noble families of the country Ezart Empire seemed strange.

When the girl woke up after being born. She spoke in her head in a precise manner, as an adult would. As I listened to her thoughts, I grew ever more worried, confused, and thrilled for a new source of entertainment. 'Where am I? Why do I feel so heavy? What happened? Ah, yes. I remember now. I was walking home after a long day at work. The last thing I remember seeing was some bright lights heading towards me and an incredulous pace. Was I ran over?'

What? People who are lucky enough to be born again should never remember their past lives. How could this have happened! Oh dear, Mui is going to be so mad at me! As I was thinking loudly to myself, I failed to notice the maid enter the room until I saw her with my eyes. Suddenly the infant started screaming in her mind. It shocked me.

'W-W-WWWWAAAITTT A MINUTE!!! Is that the villaness's caretaker from the novel that I read oh so often! Oh, what was its name... ah, yes. It was The Obsessive Nobles Want To Court Me, But I Want To Be Alone! Wait, does that mean that I'm the villainess and daughter of the Duke, also known as Alice Heartfold! From what I remember Alice dies at age fifteen when the main character, commoner Shelly Maple who was blessed by Akina (the goddess of creation), gets bullied by Alice out of jealousy for Shelly was loved by the male leads that Alice loved. This causes the male leads to become furious and they banish Alice for it. She eventually dies from a mysterous way, which was most likely assasins sent by the male leads. I can't die like that! I will never bully Shelly and I will remove the death flags planted for me!'

"What in my grace did I just hear. Death flags? Novel? Male leads? Did she just say that she was in a novel now? How did she figure that out by only seeing the maid? Wait, did she say I was a character in a novel? But I am a god? I am so very confused. Also when did I bless the girl named Shelly? The novel's name has a lot to be desired as well. What is happening? Maybe this girl is just insane, but that wouldn't explain how an infant can speak so well, even if it is in their mind. However, if speaks the truth. I am quite intrested, I am starving for entertainment. What if I just watched this girl to see how she plans to survive from her unfortunate death." I said. You see, mortals can't hear or see us gods, unless we want to, so I had no need to stay silent.

"You know what? How about I watch her and see how this drama unfolds. I'll play my part in the story and become close to her as a maid, so I can always see what she is planning and doing. What could possibly go wrong. All I need to do is-"

"Absolutely not." A voice calls out behind me. The infant didn't seem to hear the voice and continued on in her ramblings. That could only mean that it was a higher being, like me, speaking and I knew exactly who it was. I slowly turned around while whispering a small "Hi... Mui, What are you doing here..." Mui, the god of death and loss. The only god who is of equal power and rank. There are many other gods and goddesses; however, we two are the strongest.

"What are YOU doing here? Also I heard everything. And no, you can't do that love. I know you are starved for entertainment and all, but you can't be interracting with people. With past life memories or not.", he said this in a threatening voice but I couldn't help but smirk. "But Mui... aren't you curious as well? Don't you want some drama and excitement? That is why your here after all? You felt something go wrong too, I assume." He nodded slowly, " I suppose you are right. However, we shouldn't be playing around. Even if we are storybook characters to some, we have important roles here. So no. No fun."

I audibly shook my head. "We don't do much manually. We can have fun once in a while. And this can be important. We might learn about some important things, like why this infant can remember her past life. Anyways, it won't take too long for her to die anyways. We can take a break! Also love, when was the last time we turned into our mortal forms! I wanna see what mortals see! Please, soon to be husband?"

Mui blushed at my words and sighed. "Fine, but we still will take care of everything, right? And no using my love for you as a barganing chip anymore. It is quite the annoying." I smiled and giggled. "Okay... Cheers to entertainment!"
