52 Epilogue Part-1

"Mark,wake up.It's 8:30."Riku,Mark's collegue patted him on the head,asking him to wake up.

Mark sprung up and sat upright."Why do I have to wake up so early?"He drawled in a sleepy state.

"Because..you...have to go to work?"He gave a confused reply.

Mark got up and headed for the bathroom.He switched on the shower and stood beneath it,trying to wade off any sleepiness.

Suddenly,Riku heard the sound of sobbing. "Mark,are you fine?"He questioned,knocking on the door.

"Yeah...I..am..fine."Mark replied,with his blocked voice.

"Its been 14 years since you have been doing the same thing.Every morning,you cry because of him.Times have changed,and you should move on."

"But It was all because of me.I can't seem to forget him."His voice became relatively louder.Suddenly,Riku heard a loud THUD.

"Come out of bathroom at once.We can talk over breakfast."

Mark wrapped a towel around his waist and came out of the bathroom.Riku lead him to the table,asking him to sit down.Mark sat down and dragged a plate of food infront of himself.He dug his head and began eating.

"Why are you still not able to come out of the situation?"Riku asked,taking a bite of the omelette.

"He was arrested because of me.I cannot forgive myself."

"Don't you think you were a bit hasty in your decisions?"

"Yes.I was but there is not use now.The past is past.No matter how hard I try,I cannot change it.It is this fact that makes me hate myself."

"Trust fate.It is the only thing you can rely upon.Everything happens for a good cause and fate justifies it.Good luck knocks on your door when you least expect it."

"It is your words that make me live.Do you know that?"Mark stared in Riku's eyes.

"Don't do that.I will not be able to love you."

"Pfft...I already have someone I love."Mark chucked.

Mark got dressed up and they both set out for their office,reaching in time.Mark was greeted by his new friends,who helped him forget everything and made him happy.Mark entered his and Riku's cabin,sitting down to complete his work.In no time,they got called for a meeting.

Being one of the board of directors,his presence was mandatory.The meeting went on longer than expected.Mark exited out of the room and stretched his hands and feet. "The meeting sure was tiring."He thought to himself.

One of the support staff came in search of him.

"Are you Mark?"He questioned.

"Yes.I am."

"There is someone looking for you."

"Did they tell their name?"Riku questioned.

"Yes.It...was..Makoto...Akio."He replied.
