2 Chapter 2 The night the world changed

The young boy named Lance Traxis is laying on a tree enjoying the brisk sun on his face as he sleeps on the third branch up. A pebble hits Lance in the face and he then just opens his eyes looking angry and has a red mark on his forehead now. A girl is standing there smiling with ten rocks in each of her hands, the girl then looks up and shows her face and it is Chiara Maaya the girl from class who answered the teacher question. Chiara says cheerfully "you done sleeping Lance are ready to play and face my twenty stone shot attack". Lance smiles and looks down at Chiara and sticks his tongue out at her, Lance says "even if I did come down it's not like you can catch me or even hit me with those stones. You have no aim and you know I am twice your speed so why would you want me to embarrass you?". Chiara looks angry and then lifts both hands and pull them back ready to throw and then looked down then back up and gave Lance a deadly stare. Chiara screams "SHUT UP YOU DUMMY! SHUT IT! I CAN HIT YOU ANYTIME I WANT! NOW TASTE MY TWENTY STONE SHOT YOU IDIOT!". Chiara chucked the ten stones in each of her hands equally twenty and launches them towards lance's upper body and head then lance wraps his legs around the tree branch and swung down avoiding the twenty stones, Lance flips off the branch sticking the landing and then makes a run for the forest. Chiara chases after him in anger for him avoiding the stones she threw before. Chiara picks up stones and sticks as she runs at lance she begins to toss the sticks and stones as lance yells "WORDS CAN NEVER HURT ME BUT STICKS AND STONES CAN BREAK MY BONES!!!!". Chiara replies also yelling "THAT'S THE POINT YOU DUMMY". After an hour or two lance lays on the ground exhausted and Chiara lays next to him and they look at each other and giggle. Lance says "we should head back Chiara the moon is already out". Chiara then falls back and looked up at the stars admiring the night sky then she notices black smoke coming from the village. Chiara jumps up and looks at lance as she says fast and nervously like "there is smoke coming from the village!". Lance then jumps up and then darts towards the village as Chiara follows behind trying to keep up they reach the village and see everything is a blaze. Chiara falls to her knees with tears in her eyes, and says crying "every...everyone is d… dead..". Lance stands there then turns to Chiara and says" Chiara… don't worry I won't let them get away with this I will fight for the village like the crimson lions did". Lance turns and smiles at her as his silver eyes glow and then turn blue as blue lightning surrounds him. Chiara looks at him with tears in her eyes and is astonished by what she sees, Chiara asks lance "Lance… w… why is there light.. Lightning around y… you?" Lance smiles and replies "oh did miss smarty pants forget all creatures in this world have magic soaring through their veins and nine out of ten times their abilities awaken those abilities are different for everyone and it seems mine is lightning and the most recorded of abilities unlocked was three that is believed to be the limit and Chiara you should know this now I might be young and not know how to use this ability but I promise I will make these people pay". A child scream can be heard Lance and Chiara both turn and they see a child running towards them crying and yelling help as a knight in black armor marches towards them with his sword sliding on the ground and can be heard crashing on rocks the young boy runs to lance. Lance says "Kyo is that you? Quick get behind me". The boy named Kyo runs behind Lance as the Black knight approaches and lifts his sword onto his shoulder. The black knight says "hello there I see that you have unlocked your power pretty young boy but it won't protect you or anyone else in this ugly village now come with me and become slaves or die". Lance doesn't say a word back to the man instead he is gone in a blink of an eye and appears at the man's side and looks up into the man's eyes through the mask Lance eyes look as cold as ice as the man takes a step back afraid. Lance swings upward with lightning all around his hand making it look like a blur as the man then goes flying into the air as lance then does a spinning kick knocking the man into the tree. Lance then says bravely "I shall not let you harm anyone else i swear on my name Lance Traxis". Lance stands feeling confident with his new ability then about twenty men step forward laughing as they all pull their weapons out then a man with a shark head steps forward with the other nineteen men behind him. The shark headed man speaks "it seems you kids have a choice you can either die or become slaves for sale". The men move closer towards the children as the moonlight shines on the three kids.
