1 Prologue

June 6,1989

Charleston,South Carolina

Today was a very, very special day. The sky was so blue and the sun was bright and warm but that was just part of it no the reason why today was so special was because it was Lucia Varlett's sixth birthday and the sight to see would even put a smile on the most wicked people in the world faces.

The birthday party itself was quite tiring for Mr and Mrs.Varlett has wrangling six children around would be hard for anybody but, the outcome of seeing their kids happy was all worth it in the end.Their family was quite special so special that have to keep it a secret so they won't get hurt and that secret was : they were witches and the biggest thing about that was that they are one the oldest in the community of witches so they can live a long time but enough of that lets get back to the story.

That day itself was just great especially for the birthday girl and as the day got quiet,the sun went down more and more as the moon went up high and high by the end of the day, everyone and everything went quiet as it seemed like it had been that way for the entire day.The night was going by just as fine and peaceful in till, the peace got interrupted but the sounds of terror in the form of screaming crying and the sound of help being called out.

The petrifying sound woke up Mr and Mrs.Varlett and they looked around for the source of this terrifying sound and went door to door in till they reached the youngest Varlett's room they both enter and once they did their face turned in till to dread as the once lively little brown girl with the pretty brown eyes was now surrounded around by the contents of her own stomach and when they run to cradle their little girl, their eyes popped out in horror as her once bright brown eyes were now such a shade of black that it make the shadows run away in fear.

June 30,1989

The mood of the house was very different as the dread of the youngest still being sick and not showing any signs of her getting better made the once happy go-lucky household into a sad and depressing one at that. Mr and Mrs Varlett took their child to other hospitals from the most tiniest ones to the biggest and all them couldn't help their little girl and the sad thing about this was that their were about 65 other girls that were her age with the same symptoms a her but all of them had passed on and that scared the couple even more as her state of health looked so bad.

Today was like how everyday had been since that night and right now she was sleeping but, with the same high temperature it had been for a while.Bessie was washing the dishes hoping that doing something would hep sooth her mind from what was going on with Lucia it was working until she telephone started ringing, she put away the dishes and walked over to the phone to answer.

"Hello this is Bessie Varlett, how may I help you today." she said with tiredness in her voice.

"Why yes my name is Lucy and I heard that you made need some help with a problem going on right now in your life."the voice, which sounded like a man on the other end with such eagerness.

"What do you mean by that sir," Bessie said confused,"Is this "help" going to fix my daughter and her sickness cause if is we've been to every doctor in the state of south Carolina and all them could't help either so thanks but no thanks." Bessie said with such firmness in voice until the voice on the other end said something that would fill any concerned parent's heart up.

"Look ma'ma, I am a special kind of doctor that is good of tacking care of people just like you I know exactly what is wrong with your daughter and the cure waiting right here in my hand waiting for her, here is where my office is and I will be waiting for her tonight." The man finished hanging up the phone as Bessie stood there in disbelieve but, they way she felt while he was talking she knew that he was being was genuine so, she grabbed Lucia, Pallando and her robes and they headed out so their daughter could be the same little girl again.

June 30,1989

8:00 pm

Pallando was driving like a mad man while, Bessie was cradling their sickly child both knowing that this was probably their last chance for help,Lucia's last chance for help. Once they got to their destination, they were in shook of how big but, beautiful this hospital was it was they were in a fairy tale but they realized that no, this was real life.

As they parked their Ford country squire station wagon they walked up to the place where it was life or death the opened the door and it had a very strange vibe too it looked like a waiting room smelled like a waiting room but the aura seemed very strange but they brushed it off and walked to the nurses window. The nurse in the window was very pretty she had short red hair,green eyes, very pale skin. looked to be about in her late 20s and 30s.

"Are you Lucia's Mother and Father" the nurse said while looking at the couple

"Yes," Bessie said with such surprise,"A mister named Lucy told us about how he can save our little girl" she finished with such eagerness

The nurse then pressed a button and after that a group of other nurses came very swiftly and took Lucia away, Mr and Mrs. Varlett were about to chase after the people who had just snatched their daughter away but they were quickly stopped by the nurse from the window.

"She is in good hands now so don't worry OK," she nurse said

Bessie looked into the nurses eyes and she knew that she was telling the truth so she obeyed and sat down and waited to see if this Lucy would live up to what he claimed.

It had been two hours since they had Lucia and they were getting more anxious and tired as the clock went by every second, they were in a dazing sleep until they heard their names being called they looked up to see the source of the voice and when they did they saw a man wearing a black suit with a red tie along with a white doctors coat, he looked to be around his late 30s early 40s, of Asian descent and long hair with a clean shaven face.

"Hi Mr and Mrs Varlett, My name is Lucy" he said with such eagerness

They both shot up and rushed over to him like their life depended on it

"Is she safe"

"is she okay" they both were asking eagerly

"Well if you follow me then you will see for yourself"The man named Lucy said then started to lead them through the halls as the parents of the child were very scared to see if she was going to be okay or be like the other girls. the walk to the room finally stop and when Lucy opened the door, there was their little girl jumping up and down her bed with two nurses looking with such smiles on their faces.

"Mommy, Daddy look what the people gave me isn't it so pretty!" the once sick little girl said with such excitement it was like she wasn't sick at all it was so strange to see. Her parents ran over and hugged her like it was the last time to hug her, she had such tears in their eyes that now their little girl was going to be alright.

"Now let's give her time to rest she has had quite the day and i would like to talk with you two about your Daughter"Lucy said, the couple both looked at each other then they looked at Lucia, they got up and kissed her forehead and left with the strange man to talked about their daughter.The Couple and the Lucy both got to their destination which was office the room was quite pretty with the wooden furniture, the many books and the seats that look so comfortable that it would be like sitting on a cloud.

"Have a seat, Have a seat,"he said,"Make yourself comfortable"Lucy said with such eagerness

"Now before we get started I jut want to let you know that Lucia is a very special child and she is very lively it seems," he started off with a smile on his face,"Now the reason why she was sick was that she had been cursed and if you had gotten here any later she would had not made it" the man said with a frown now on his face

"Well how was she cursed she barley leaves the house and we always our looking her!" Pallando said with confusion on his face" and even if she was cursed her body could handle it and it will go away as quickly as it was put on her.

"I know Mr. Varlett but this curse wasn't by a regular person or witch it was by a devil," he stood up while finishing it"Mrs.Varlett I think you know this devil that did this." He looked at her and at first she looked very confused on why he would say that but when she looked more closely at Lucy she realized what this man's real name was" Oh my lord it was you! Lucifer what do want with our daughter hell, our kind we don't even worship you!" Bessie finished saying with such fierceness that she even spooked satan himself.

"Wait now let's all just calm down and talk about why this is happening."Pallando said with coolness in his voice," Now tell me and wife why you did this to our daughter she didn't do anything to you, yes she can speck and sometimes communicate with the dead but other then that she hasn't done anything to offend you or you sub coordinates."

"Alright I will explain everything. A few years ago before Lucia was born a Prophecy was brought up to me about her and my son,Leo, it said that on June 6,1983 a baby girl who was born into a magic bearing family, the power to speak with the dead and the smile that would warm anyone's heart and this girl would marry the son of Satan but, before the girl could marry the son she had to survive a horrendous sickness so, I put a simple curse on a total of 66 girls and out of all of them it was Lucia that passed the test." he finished with such gloom over him.

"So all of our worry over our child was because you were testing her to she if was going to be a good bride to your son," Bessie said in disbelieve

"I know that but I will never do that again to you and Your family, I have a few things I would like to offer you for Lucia to make for it."Lucy said with much eagerness in not only his words but his deep gold eyes.

"Fine we will hear what you have to offer" Pallando said looking at and studying over him.

"Well the first thing is schooling I will provide her with the best schooling hell has to offer she will be down here for most of the year but see can come and see you whenever she wants. The second thing is learning about her magic, just by being around her I can tel that her magic is some of the most powerful that even I have seen in all my years being in existence and lastly I will make sure that whenever she is away from your family that she will be in the best protection possible but, the one bad thing that came out from this is now she has the the power of a demon and it is very,very powerful"

Bessie and Pallando both looked at each other and knew that if he didn't save her she wouldn't be here at all, yeah she know has the demon gift and it will be hard to control they knew it was better then her not being here at all so they both turned back to him and looked him in his golden eyes and said "fine we agree with you but they will not get married until she is at least 20 and she will come home whenever its holidays no ifs and no buts about and the most important thing is that you make sure she won't have a single mark on her or I will personally kill you"Bessie said with passion knowing that right know in this single moment in time, She just made a deal with the devil.
