55 The Hen Sees the Snake’s Feet and The Snake Sees the Hen’s Boobs
"...Because I want to confirm what I heard yesterday." He thought.
He had actually accidently heard Diola and Reen's conversation yesterday which startled him. But not hearing her directly addressing Reen as Crimson he merely had his speculations thus leading to his reaction during the meeting for the remake of the music video.
"…I wanted to know how Reen is doing after the accident a few days ago…?" He said with hesitation
"Hmm… Is this a case of the hen sees the snake's feet and the snake sees the hen's boobs [1]? Reen actually told him about it? So he knows she is Crimson!" She mentally said
She was a bit hurt knowing that Chad knew the accident first before her, coupled with her worry and fear for Reen's safety; she was not in the right mind to actually notice the hesitation and indirect confirmation from his voice.
Reen was not even answering her phone. Since she knew Reen told Chad everything she agreed to let him join so they hurried went to the gate to meet up with the other two.
Chad on the other hand was now 85% sure of his suspicion but still held a bit of his assumption until he clearly sees Reen later.
They left the room and meet up with Skie and Sae.
"Why is he with you?" Sae questioned mildly shock and angry.
Ignoring his question, Diola looked at Sae then at Chad then shook her head in annoyance.
"This will be a very… very long ride…" She mentally sighed in defeat.
Chad offered to use his car to go to Reen's house which Diola enthusiastically agreed. Seeing this, Skie who was not a jealous type of person could not help but feel a bit green-eyed [2].
Chad had a white Mahindra Scorpio with an 8 seating capacity which was sufficient enough to accommodate the 4 of them and yet she decided to seat beside him. This made Skie green with envy [3] frowning throughout the way.
Sae on the other hand had reluctantly rode on his car seeing that he really didn't have any choice.
Diola told Chad Reen's address and upon hearing this, his 85% assumption has risen up to 90%.
When they arrived, Diola notified Aunt Wisteria of their arrival which startled her a bit by the surprise visit but warmly welcomed them. The guard on duty after doing the necessary check-up opened the gate.
Afterwards, when they arrived at the house's door, Skie possessively hugged Diola away from Chad.
Diola unaware of what was happening dumbly looked at Skie then at Chad. Seeing Chad's weird reaction looking at the mahogany door with its two sidelites, leaf scrollwork ironwork glass Diola finally realized then that Chad had tricked her.
Though it took him only a minute to change it back to his usual gentleman persona she still saw this slight reaction.
