15 Suitable Men

"It's a great honour to be a part of your project Mr. and Mrs. Naide" Seeto said as he shook their hands.

"Thank you very much for accepting our request as well." Wisteria politely replied.

They then made small talk, complimenting each other's clothes and talking about their previous works.

"Why don't you kids run along and get to know each other more." Wisteria inserted during one of their conversions. Chad and Reen looked at each other.

"Shall we?" Chad said addressing Reen.

He offered his arm and she shyly took it. Seeto excused himself to answer a call and followed behind them.

"His quite the gentleman, maybe we can actually become good friends." Reen thought.

"Hey! No hunky punky alright? Don't you dare lay a hand on my beautiful daughter, you hear me young man?! Your 100 years too early to think-"Hue said but they were already swallowed by the crowd and couldn't hear him anymore.

"Oh, stop that Hue. You're too protective of her; let her have some fun once in a while."

"But-"He childishly protested but seeing Wisteria's scolding face stopped himself on what he was about to say.

"Alright… just this once then, but Wiz... you should really stop trying to hook her up with these 'people.' She'll be the one who'll get hurt the most in the end. And she already has that boy."

Emphasizing with disgust on the word "boy", all teasing was gone as he looked seriously at his gorgeous wife's eyes. They stared at each all humour and teasing gone.

"I know." She gripped his arm tightly and looked down. He shook his head helplessly at his meddling wife.

Despite knowing their daughter likes another guy, she still couldn't stop herself from finding other matches for her. She only met Sae once but feels as though Sae despite his sincerity towards Reen, doesn't really match her baby girl.

She does not know that they do liked each other but liking each other is different from actually liking each other within a relationship. Restrictions and responsibilities are more complicated at the latter one.

Hue on the other hand, mostly doesn't like anybody sticking to her lovely baby so she couldn't really ask his opinion regarding men suitable for Reen.

Understanding her conflicting emotions and ridicule, he shook his head and smiled lovingly at her. He lifted her chin so she could looked at him, all the previous seriousness were gone.

She pouted cutely, he gave her a chaste kiss on the lips making her smile and squeezing his arm tighter as she looked at him lovingly. She held his arm and they joined the crowd.

When the party finally ended, the cleaning and preparations for tomorrow finalized and the last guest had left, Reen shared her wonderful day with her uncle and as she expected he reacted the way she thought he would which made her laugh. They then retired for the day.

Reen wishing yet again that tomorrow would come sooner.
