70 Seth and Lilith

Reen's eyes grew as big as saucers [1] which also made her stopped crying and her mouth was drop into a shape of O because of her shock.

She knew that the old man was her father though unsure as she only saw him twice in all her 14 years of living on this Earth. But his features were the same though a bit older as the one she vaguely remembered.

She was jolted awake from her reaction when she felt her sister's tight grip on her arm.

"D*mmit!" Her sister cursed

"You kill that scamp but keep the other alive, she will be more useful than the rascal. You and you go and searched for the money I know they hid it somewhere here." The woman said through gritted teeth

"Yes ma'am!" one of the men rushed towards Sophia.

"Lilith [2] D-dear, is this really appropriate?" Her father said in a trembling voice

The woman turned and looked coldly at him.

"What are you saying dear-" She said the word "dear" filled with threat which made Seth [3] shiver at her voice and venomous stare

"-Only by them dying will we enjoy our luxurious and happy life again!" she smiled. Her smile was forced as a murderous glint surfaced on her eyes

"What a poltroon [4]!" Lilith mentally though while looking at Seth

"Yes only through killing the b*tch and her children will the "mistress" name forever be erased from my name!" She cursedly thought

She knew that the company employees and even Seth's relatives looks down on her with ridicule and distain. Even if they don't say anything she could feel it through their gaze and stiffed actions.

"As long as this bumpkin filled family is alive they will truly never accept me." She mentally cursed again looking at Sophia and Reen as though she could swallow them whole just like a giant snake looking at its prey.

Her behavior was gentle as an ancient conservative woman and her beautiful smile bright as the sun that you wanted to be surrounded in. These traits and beauty made Lilith's eyes burn and filled her heart with envy.

Sadly, Lilith never once thought that she was humiliated and distained not because of her title but by her personality itself.

She was a prostitute as young as 18 years old who seduced a man with a wife and children becoming a couple of bedswervers [5]. Despite the man being at fault as well, in our society men usually are judged more leniently as women bore the hatred and ridicule from the world.

The way she paraded at the company as though she was the owner and ordered people around also added to the company employees and Seth's relatives' negative treatment towards her.

Even if the main wife died, the ridicules and gossip would be lessened and Seth's relatives would tolerate her more but underneath that, all the hidden misgivings are still there.

Seeing her like this and being reminded by her he couldn't help but remember the event that happened a few days ago.
