109 Punishment

Still not moving an inch Hue could only helplessly sigh, knowing the stubbornness of the girl Hue shook his head.

"Your punishment will have to wait for now. We will give you the appropriate punishment once Reen's matters have been settled."

He said in a stern voice. Hearing this Mirly could not help but tremble. Seeing her act this way, Hue softened his stance, lifted her arm and helped Mirly stand up. With his strength Mirly stood up. He patted the dust on her knee then patted her head

Knowing that regardless of whatever he says in comfort Mirly would not feel at ease he instead comforted her in silence.

Feeling the warmth and care of Hue, Mirly's tears fell down.

"Now, now don't cry… you'll make your grandma and grandpa worried." He said softly as he held her face between his hands. Mirly miserably stared at him and nodded her head.

He released her as she wiped her tears away.

"Thank you uncle…"

When they were usually alone, Hue and Wisteria had asked her to call them uncle and aunt instead of master and madam. Finally seeing the young girl calm down, he smiled slightly.

"Ok now, hurry up and go inside."

Mirly bid him goodbye as she went into their house. Hue was not the least bit afraid of MIrly's safety as she was capable enough to defend herself and even her grandparents.

He then looked at the door one last time and left with his car.

...

After everything was settled and Reen who had lost her memories returned back to her day to day life, Mirly's punishment was finally decided.

She was to go abroad for a year to train at their branch organization. This was actually the lightest punishment they could give her as to not seem bias to the other members of the organizations.

For their subordinates, knowing that she had the mission of protecting Reen and her family yet failing it miserably it was just right for her to be punished they thought.

Hue and Wisteria did not disclose the truth behind the mission that it was only a pseudo mission not because they don't trust their comrades but to emphasize that no one is actually given any preferential treatment even if the truth was the opposite.

In reality, they had been doing this a lot, their old subordinates who asked to leave the group also experienced similar missions or punishments.

Normally when one wanted to leave or temporary leave the group due punishment such as being jailed for a week without food and water or being whip for 100 were practiced.

They knew if they did such things the person who wanted to leave would be reluctant to leave or even die as a result. However, it was only through proper punishment would they be guaranteed that the men and women who leave them will not spill the secrets of the organization.

Even Oliver's faction who left the group did not dare to divulge any of the organization's secret as they were afraid of the organization's retaliation.
