22 Pretending
"You don't have to pretend to be happy when you're not." Chad frustratingly said out loud.
He was constantly thinking it throughout the filming and as a result, he talked without thinking. He knew that as much as she pretends otherwise, she was affected by the false news.
He believes it had something to do with her soon to be boyfriend. He was hurt by her obvious distress. He had a crush on her ever since she started her career and was one of her biggest fan.
Talking to her and becoming closer made him like her even more. Knowing that she had feelings for somebody else yesterday had hurt him but stopping your feelings for someone you like just like that is impossible.
He then made a decision to continue liking her without telling her until his feelings eventually dies out on its own.
What he said was unexpected but he couldn't take back what already came out of his mouth.
"What are you talking..." Reen said trying to feint ignorance
"Even if they didn't notice, I notice it. We've been together most of the day, yesterday and even the day before. You were much more jolly and high spirited then than now." He hurriedly said
"I know you even better that what I let on." He whispered silently so Reen wouldn't hear.
As he was her fan, he like any other fan searched informations from the internet about their idols. Alas, because of Reen's mysteriousness and secrecy only little information could be found. As Reen during their time together did not say much about herself Chad still knew a little more about her through his surfing on the net, information like her age, favourite color and the like.
Hue and Wisteria publicized such facts as it was not that important to keep and wouldn't really affect Reen's daily life if people knew about it.
Despite this, he couldn't help but accept the fact that there were still things that you can only know once you've talked and interacted with the person you idolized or interest with.
Silence engulfed them.
"Hmmm... I can't really say anything against that." she smiled weakly breaking the silence.
She stretched her hands above her head then placed it on her lap intertwining her fingers.
"You can share what's troubling you if it makes you feel any better." He said with outmost sincerity
She couldn't helped but laughed at that which startled him, he was glad he made her laugh but on the other hand he didn't understand why, he was serious when he said those words.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to laugh. I just thought that you might have forgotten were actually filming now."
"Oh right! Fiddlesticks!" he actually forgot it completely
They both chuckled at the absurd situation they were in.
"Ahhh, I give up. That was a good point made to change the topic entirely."
Reen tried to make serious face but couldn't help the grin showing up on her face. She said nothing and made a gesture like showing I-don't-know-what-you-are-talking-about action while shaking her head from right to left. Chad couldn't help but smirk in return.
"If you want to pretend you're fine and were all lovey dovey then I have no choice but to follow your wish."
