79 Mirly

Wisteria hugged her even tighter crying and wailing along with her, Hue silently stared at them full of grief himself.

After a few minutes Mirly arrived, huffing and puffing from her run.

"W-Where is Reen? Where is she?!" Mirly asked the policeman assigned to be in the crowd control.

"Who are you?"

"I'm Reen's best friend, where is she?!" she slightly shouted, panic filled her.

While watching TV with her family, she saw the flash news about the fire and that Reen was the only remaining survivor. She immediately wore a coat, left her house and hurriedly called out a taxi.

There were too many people blocking the way that the taxi could not move any further so she paid her fare and ran the other blocks towards Reen's house.

"Sorry miss, you are not allowed to get further than this, only the relatives of the family and/or concerned party can pass through here." The policeman said sternly while looking at her and at the same time to the curious onlookers

"Reen! Reen! Where are you?!" not listening at all, Mirly struggled to free herself from the policeman's grasp

"Miss, please calm down or else I can only arrest you!" He said while gripping her shoulders harder as his other hand tried to block the people from advancing as well.

Reen was walking slowly towards the ambulance along with Wisteria, a few paramedics and Hue right behind them.

After she had calmed down enough, Hue and Wisteria promising that the arms would be returned to her completely she finally decided to give the severed arms to the policeman.

However, regardless of what they said she still took the silver bracelets in theirs wrist and this was something she wouldn't relent no matter.

Coming into a compromise, the policeman and medic relented to getting the arms instead while leaving the bracelets with her.

"Reen! Reen!" Mirly shouted and struggled free from the policeman's grip finally seeing her best friend.

"Hey!" The policeman shouted as Mirly finally loosened from his grasp, he was also trying to maintain the curious onlookers thus was not fully focused on Mirly alone

The policeman could not leave his post because of the people and decided to just let her go. He also felt that the pity and frighten face of that girl is real and not an act to get inside scoops of the fire.

"I'll really be scolded by my superior later. Why am I such a softie to girls" He thought, he signed loudly as he then reverted back into his stern demeanor to control the bustling crowd.
