89 Court Hearing
Two days after, bringing their lawyers in tow Wisteria and Hue attended the hearing without informing Reen.
As Seth and Lilith were still in need of money they didn't hire the best attorney they could as they thought that Wisteria and Hue will cower in the end and not pursue the case after all.
After finding out the truth, this yet again caused their hearts to bleed in pain [1] cursing their own ignorance.
On the other hand despite the minor issue, Wisteria's party brought with them the best attorney in the country. When all involve parties arrived, the case was called into the courtroom.
Other than the two parties involve their attorney and other necessary personnel within the court no other people were invited to keep the said issue private much to Seth and Lilith's dismay.
"Please rise. The Honorable Judge Robert is presiding" As everyone stands in respect for the arrival of the judge.
"Everyone may be seated." Judge Robert then said
"Let the proceedings begin." He finally said and the hearing then started with the plaintiff's attorney explains the defendant's charges.
"My clients are suing the defendants for incurring civil harassment unto them. For the benefit of the other party, harassment in law and its legal definition is generally defined as a way a person's behavior acts which annoys, threatens, intimidates, alarms, or puts another person in fear of their own safety [2]."
After the charge was read, the defendant [3] was then asked to plead guilty or not guilty. Of course, they pleaded not guilty. The court then proceeded to an oral argument between parties.
"During the said incident the plaintiff was actually the first who acted while my clients just defended themselves thus leading to the injuries incurred by them. This is merely a case of self-defense."
"I object your honor. I am requesting the presence of witlessness to testify that it was indeed the defendants who started the physical assault."
"Objection overruled [4]." Answered the judged
"Thank you your honor, I would like to call upon Ms. Rete to sit at the witness box."
Ms. Rete, the nurse who had called the security to stop the brawl was called upon the witness box.
The court registrar then handed her a Bible which he asked her to place her hand on top it as he held the bottom part of the book with his hand as well.
"Ms. Rete, please repeat the following words after me." The man said
Rete nervously nodded in agreement.
"I swear by the Almighty God that the evidence I shall give shall be the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth [5] ".
Rete then repeated after him. After this, the questing started. After her, the security guard personnel of the hospital Reen had stayed in was called onto the witness box following the same procedure Rete had underwent.
