1 Background

Setting: bar: is really dark. The lights are dim really low. There are stools all along the bar.  Behind the bar are bottles of liquor and wine

Apartment 1: The apartment has 2 bedrooms with a nice size living room and kitchen.

Apartment 2: this apartment has one bedroom with a small kitchen and a small living room.

Room 249: in this hotel room there is one queen size bed with a flat screen TV sitting on the dresser. In the upper right corner is a desk with one chair.  On the desk there is a lamp and a notepad as well as a calendar.

The house: The home of Jessica and James is fill with a lot of artwork on the wall. In the living room there  are pictures of their son as a baby. Also on the walls there are articles about James and how he saved a family from a fire. And his old helmet that is all beat up hanging on the wall. The house has 3 bedrooms one where James and Jessica sleep, another where their son sleeps and the last one is the home office.

Jessica is a biracial 30 year old Lawyer, who is dating James and also best friends with Matthew. She has a two year old son with James. She is also very much in love with her best friend, Matthew, but doesn't know how to tell him. For the last few months she has been cheating on James.

James is a 35 year old man. He is Jessica's boyfriend. They have been together for 6 years. He is the father to their two year old son James Jr. He works as a firefighter. He is thinking about proposing to Jessica.

Matthew is a 28 year old African American male who is best friends with Jessica. He has been in love with Jessica since they were in middle school. He has been together with his girlfriend Monica for 4 years. He is about to marry Monica. He works as a banker.

Monica is a 27 year old latin America woman. She is about to marry Matthew. She knows that Jessica and  Matthew are best friends, but she notices that something is going on between the friends. She also thinks that Matthew is cheating on her because he comes home at all hours of the night. She is a teacher at a all girls high school.

Amber is a 24 year old woman. She is the sister of Jessica. She is married to her high school sweetheart William. They have been married for 3 years and  they are expecting their first baby. She is a nurse at a local hospital. Her husband is also cheating on her.

William is 26 years old African American male. He is married to Amber. He works as an accountant. He is messing around with Angel. He met Angle at a bar. He finds out that she is also pregnant.

Angle is 29 year old African American woman. She works as a bartender down the block from William's job. She just found out that she is also pregnant with William's baby and she doesn't know what to do. Should Angle keep the baby or give the baby up.

                      MATTHEW 

I often wonder what it would be like if I dated Jessica. I never  forget the day we first met. It was the first day of middle school and I bumped into this skinny girl with straight hair and braces. I thought  I would never see this girl again, but then I saw her sitting in my home room. As we went through the school year, we became very close. We would always be together to the point that everyone thought we were dating each other, but, that wasn't the case, we were just friends. As the years went on I started to have feelings for Jessica.  Soon my feelings turned into me wanting to be with her. Sooner or later I have to build the courage to tell this woman how I really feel about her. When I finally tell her I how I really feel will she feels the same way that I feel or will she deny the fact that we do belong together.
