5 Acquaintance Gathering

A small gathering for all the residence lived in the subdivision was going to be held tonight in the subdivision hall. It was a yearly event in the subdivision, in order to make them acquainted with all the residence. So, the girls gathered in Kim's house to prepare for it.

"Seriously, is it true?"

"Yeah, just what they said he was here"

"Does that mean he's still a bachelor?"

"That's what I heard, when they visit his home they asked him about his status which he immediately answered"

"So, Kim still have a chance.Kyaaah!"

"Finally she will have her own romance"

Kim heard all of it once she entered the living room from her daily jog. She went directly in the kitchen and refilled her tumbler, she chug down the water. She already know about that, but she remained calm. She doesn't want to look like she was desperate to notice her.

"Kim we want to help you, how about we find you an attractive attire tonight and we will make you more gorgeous? What do you think?"

"We'll pull some tricks to made you two meet and mingle!"

"That was too much guys, you know alrwady what our Kim was like right? She prefered to be simple and but beautiful"

"So, we must make her like that. How can we meet them without him noticing?"

"I might have an idea" a sinister smile of her friend, but Kim knows it might be not that bad. She trust her friend, but she does not trust herself. She was a little nervous what might she do tonight, things might mess up if her clumsiness would surface.

Good thing one of her friend was part of the comittee of the event. She was appointed to do the entertainment of the event.

Hours passed, it was already evening. All the families of the residence will be gathered tonight. Kim and her friends was all ready for the event. Once they arrived at the venue, they settled their seats. One table was occupied by Kim and her friends. As they scan the place, there they found him with his friends. 'So he also have group of friends' One of Kim's friend thought. She stand and sign with the girls she was going to execute the plan.

As she reached the table of Eric, she passed behind him. She purposely dropped her purse.

"Oh, sorry... I dropped my purse"she excused herself as she picked up her purse. "I never thought there still beauties in this place"

"May I know your name miss?" Kim's friend could only smirked at their behaviour.

"Don't make me laugh, Trevor"

"Wow, am I that popular that you even know my name miss?"

"Dude, stop that... you're only making yourself more ridiculous. Did you forgot you sign your name earlier at the entrance? You have a tag on your shirt" his friend whispered the last part.

"Oh sorry about that, Selena, since I was taken by your beauty."

"Well played, your flowery words won't take you anywhere. Well it still nice to know you guys. I still have something to do, so bye for now and enjoy the event tonight.

She managed to get away from their sight, and immediately settled in their seats.

"The seed has been planted" she said to them, they both exchanged with smiles.

Kim feels more nervous as she said that, she hopes this would work.

The event started, and the rest of the program was presented. After the intermission number, the host talked about their little game they've prepared.

"All are participants of this type of game. Please, as you rise from your seat, flip over it and pick up the paper stick to it. According to the letter and number of your paper it was the placement of your seat. So, head over it."

All the people inside the hall followed what they've order. Once the host confirm all the participants have their seats, he picked the mic.

"Since all of you guys settled. We'll start the game. This game was to ensure that you will know someone. "

"Only one rule, you must make an interview in your partner assigned. Whoever got the longest content of interview paper made will be the winner. So timers...Starts...NOW!"

And the silly game started.
