5 PART 5 ~ HAS LEGALLY BECOME ERLANDO'S WIFE

Two days passed, Briel and Erland came out of the church. Amid her slow steps, Briel lifted the white dress she was wearing. The dress was not longer than the soles of her feet. She also wears wedges this time. However, the dress fit her body and formed a mermaid model, so it was quite difficult for her to walk as usual.

Yes, Briel and Erland just took their wedding vows at a church in Central Jakarta. Initially, the wedding will be held in Bandung, considering that Erland's parents live there. However, after learning that Erland lived in Jakarta, the wedding was finally held in Jakarta.

Briel and Erland's wedding was very simple. There was only Bram, Briel's mother who was none other than Clara and Erland's parents. Everything was done suddenly. Therefore, preparations could only be prepared simply in such a short amount of time.

Clara is initially shocked to hear the news that Briel is getting married. How come? Bram said that it was for the best after explaining what happened to his daughter. However, as Briel's mother, Clara was certainly sad. She was disappointed in the situation. Even Clara was seeing Erland for the first time. If only Clara had a choice, she would choose a man she knew well even if Briel was forced into marriage.

Unfortunately, Bram decided that and could not be contested. Clara doesn't know what's on Bram's mind. If he wanted to save Briel, it probably made sense in Clara's mind. It's just, can Erland take good care of Briel? Can Erland treat Briel as well as Clara and Bram treat Briel like a princess in their family? Moreover, Briel and Erland are already married. Clara worries that Briel will not be ready for life after marriage.

As for Rosita, that was none other than Erland's mother. She was no less surprised. A year ago, she found out Erland was in a relationship with another woman but now had to marry Briel. It didn't matter to her, being with Bram certainly made her feel proud. Moreover, she knows Bram is one of the successful entrepreneurs in Indonesia. Who does not want to have a family like that? However, seeing Briel's face that seemed too innocent, made Erland's mother not sure that Briel would be able to take good care of Erland.

In essence, Clara and Rosita both doubted their daughter-in-law.

Erland stopped in his tracks when someone tapped him on the shoulder. Everyone fell silent after Erland turned around and saw the person.

"I want to talk to you," said Bram. Bram's gaze was so flat. However, there were so many things he was thinking about right now.

Erland looked at his parents. The father nodded, signaling himself to talk to Bram.

"Okay," Erland said and followed Bram to a place far enough away from everyone.

They seemed to be talking. Even the two of them looked serious as they spoke and Briel and all people didn't know what they were talking about. Everyone clearly couldn't hear the conversation between Bram and Erland.

Briel turned her head, she saw Clara whose expression was very sad. After all, it was her beloved Briel that she had been taking care of since Briel was 4 years old. Briel is her son, even though Briel is her stepson, but she loves Briel more than anything. Everything will always be about Briel before the two boys.

For Clara, treating Briel special is a must because Briel is the only daughter in her family who is always well looked after and cared for. Briel always gets whatever she wants even if Briel doesn't ask for it. Bram and Clara will give the best to her. That doesn't mean she doesn't love her two sons. However, they were boys and could take care of themselves, and Clara had always believed that her children would never embarrass the family. They went to school well and always made Clara and Bram proud. Even now, they weren't present at Briel's wedding because they were busy with their school.

"What can Mommy do? All of this happened so fast. Mommy not even ready to accept that you're married," Clara said sadly.

Briel's eyes reddened. She had restrained herself from crying when the sacred vows of marriage had been taken and she had seen Clara. However, it seemed that this time she couldn't help it.

Briel hugged Clara.

"Can I be like Mommy? Mommy is a good wife, Mommy and Daddy love each other. As for me? I don't love that man," said Briel, then tears started to fall.

Clara rubbed Briel's back. She was at a loss as to what to say to Briel. She completely understood Briel's feelings. However, Clara believes that Bram must have other reasons for wanting to marry Briel to Erland, who is none other than the son of a business partner. The working relationship between Bram and Handoko has been going well for many years. Both of them have never made a mistake that led to disappointment.

However, for some reason, Bram didn't want to talk about the embarrassing incident. Yes, Bram didn't even tell Clara the real reason.

"Mommy sure you'll make a good wife," said Clara.

Briel let go of her hand. She wiped Clara's tears that also fell. Instead of wanting to be a good wife, Briel wants to torture Erland so that she can take revenge for what Erland did to her.

"Mom, if you want to go shopping, if you need a friend for a vacation, don't forget to call me, I will accompany Mommy, okay," said Briel.

Clara, who looked sad, smiled after hearing Briel's words. Briel really couldn't help but laugh.

"Of course honey," Clara said.

Briel smiled. She hugged Clara again but only briefly because Erland and Bram had returned.

"Briel, come with Erland," said Bram.

"Where to?" asked Briel.

"To Erland's house, where are you going? You are married, so you guys will live together," said Bram.

Briel looked at Erland with her sharp gaze. Suddenly, her heart was restless. There was no way she would stay with Erland. What if Erland did something to her again like that night? Briel would curse Erland if necessary to curse Erland to stone so that Erland couldn't do anything to her anymore.

"Hmm..." Briel nodded. She didn't fight back and just gave up. But, she already had a way of avoiding a bastard like Erland.

Erland raised one eyebrow as he looked at Briel. He thought Briel would refuse. However, Briel suddenly agreed to this without arguing with Bram.

'I'm suspicious of this woman,' thought Erland as he looked at Briel who was also looking at him with a look that didn't know what kind of look it was.
