2 A destiny

"Darren ...!" the man said suddenly interrupting Celine's words. "You can call me by my name!" he continued smiling.

Celine felt her face heat up from the warmth of the atmosphere.

"Can I call you Celine, or stay with the formal-miss-"

"E-uh, you can call me either as long as you are comfortable sir-"

Once again Darren quickly interrupted Celine's words. "Dar - ren!" he said separately.

"Very well ... Dar-ren!" replied Celine awkwardly.

"Ha ha ha ... No need to be so stiff like that, I am a real human. Not a demon or some kind of devil."

Hearing this, Celine laughed too. "Your sense of humor is terrible!"

"Oh yes? Then how about good humor?"

"Eh?" Celine became flustered again.

"Ha ha ha ...! Look, you've always been flustered, is that a good sense of humor?" Darren asked, narrowing an eye.

DEG!

'What is this?' Celine thought. Her heart was chaotic when she saw the man blink his narrow brown eyes at her.

'Shit! He's so handsome! God I want him, all right?' Celine thought again.

Who knew what had driven her to think that particular phrase, Celine, who doesn't know anything about love, because she had never got the chance to feel it, had said that prayer in her heart, which in fact she also didn't know, what was the meaning of the word 'I want him', but the prayer just flowed.

"Hey, why are you silent? Is something wrong?" asked Darren.

Celine just shook her head, her eyes turned away from him as she stared out and freely watched the bustle of a big highway in the metropolitan city.

'It's also good that I chose to seat here, I can see outside while neutralizing my heart,' Celine thought.

Darren glanced at Celine from the corner of his eye, he saw that the woman was actually enjoying what she saw too much. This made Darren ponder about what was the object of sight of the woman in front of him.

'Is the highway more attractive than my face?' thought Darren.

"Nothing interesting, why so serious?" Darren sneered softly. However, it was enough to catch Celine's attention.

"Uh, sorry. Did you just talk to me?" Celine asked nervously.

'You fool Celine, what are you doing? It's office hours!' Celine cursed herself.

"If not you, then do you think I like talking to myself?"

'Tsk ... he's so talkative! I don't want him,' Celine thought. But Celine immediately cursed herself, she suddenly became aware of what she thought earlier.

'Stupid!! Do you think he wants you? How confident you are. Maybe there is this chance, he will report your ridiculous actions to the higher ups, how are you so impatient,' Celine thought.

"Hemph ... silent again?" scowled Darren.

"Emph ... is there anything you want to ask?" asked Celine, "I mean, about this job."

"There are a lot of things I want to ask. But—" Darren broke off mid sentence.

That made Celine frown.

Darren smiled at Celine who looked annoyed. "But more about you!" Darren continued, suppressing the words at the end of the word.

Celine pointed at her nose. "Me?" She asked in surprise.

"Wasn't it you who offered to do an introductory interview earlier?"

"Huh?"

"Don't tell me you've forgotten? But if you look at it, you are still very young. Can you forget what was said so quickly?"

"Uh," - Celine bit her lip - "but we're working right now. Hemph!"

"Is there something wrong with that?" asked Darren. "Emph ... I mean, is it wrong if we become close to each other? We have a cooperative relationship, the company where I work is united with your company, professionally. Why can't we?"

Celine widened her eyes, wanting to find the meaning of what Darren had said.

"Eh ... Ouch, how can I make you talk?" now it's Darren's turn to be flustered.

It caused Celine to laugh with amusement.

Pppffff ...!

Unintentionally, that sound came out of Celine's tiny mouth.

Realizing her stupid behavior, Celine composed herself to act in her normal behavior. "Eh- that's ... sorry," she said and immediately bit her lower lip, so as not to laugh again.

"What I actually meant was ... well, it's not wrong if we know each other, right?" Darren was getting stiff, especially seeing Celine who was waiting for him to continue his words while raising her eyebrows up.

"If we don't know each other, how can we work together. I think there is nothing wrong with it, it's only natural that colleagues know each other," Darren explained.

"Oh ..." Celine replied shortly.

'Even though I thought that he liked me. Ah god! What a waste of expecting too much,' Celine thought.

"From what I see, you are still young. How old are you?"

"Emph ... 18 years," Celine replied briefly.

"18 ...?" Darren repeated.

"Yes, why?"

"Shouldn't you be in school? Enjoying university education."

"I don't like school," replied Celine coolly, when in fact, her heart was very hurt to hear what the man had said.

'Nor do I want to miss school,' Celine thought.

Author's thoughts:

Celine Eliasson is a young girl who just finished high school a few months ago, but due to family economic problems, where her father was laid off from a company which was the sole source of their family livelihood. This turn of events forced her to cancel her intention of continuing school to the university of her dreams.

Yes, even though she can't go to the university of her dreams, that doesn't necessarily made her give up the situation that was greeting.

"It doesn't matter if you don't go to the dream university, the important thing is I can stay in school," the girl muttered encouragingly to herself, thus making her take a big action in life, namely school while working.

Luckily, the girl was accepted to work at the largest 'Retail' company in Country I, so she could fulfill her dream of continuing to go to school.

Don't ever look at someone's situation from your point of view, you were not capable enough to face other person's struggles. Know and realize, every person's life path is not the same! Beautiful in your opinion, not necessarily for them.

Look widely, from all sides, if you can't, then just be an audience, don't try to be a director!
