Chen Ziyue is innocent

Being a wild party girl, Chen Ziyue did get into a lot of catfights. Many people didn't like her. But, it was not to the extent that someone would try and take her life. Yet, he looked for clues everywhere to find the person who was responsible for this incident. However, to his surprise, he was unable to find the perpetrator till now.

"Jingyun, what are you thinking?" Song Ning asked gently.

"Nothing...." Si Jingyun shook his head.

Liar!

Song Ning thought in her heart, her lips curling into a small smile. Her heart felt glad to see that Si Jingyun was unhappy at the news that Chen Ziyue, his almost dead fiance was back to life. This solidified her claim that he was reluctant to marry Chen Ziyue. He didn't want her in his life. And, he was correct to think that. After all, a perfect man like him doesn't deserve that wild woman.

How can Chen Ziyue be deserving to marry a man like Si Jingyun?

Chen Ziyue was a rude, arrogant, wild, foul-mouthed woman. She had no class. If it was not for her rich family background and that beautiful face, no guy would even bother to look at her. As for Si Jingyun, he was simply getting married to that arrogant woman just because of his father's pressure and because of Chen Ziyue's background. Nothing else!

He belonged to her and her alone.

Song Ning smiled dreamily.

"So, what is the other news?" Si Jingyun asked.

"Chen Ziyue is currently suffering from a memory loss," Song Ning told him.

"What?!" Si Jingyun was shocked. His eyes were full of disbelief and surprise.

"Yes, she doesn't remember anything about her past."

Song Ning was so happy when she got this news from Yuan Li. It was like luck and fate were shining bright on her. Before Chen Ziyue's fall, they had a big argument regarding Si Jingyun and Chen Ziyue broke her friendship with her. Though it was just a small argument, she didn't know what triggered Chen Ziyue that she broke their 18 years old friendship.

Before she could reconcile with her, the news about her affair with that big-bellied businessman broke out. That same night, Chen Ziyue committed suicide and she didn't get a chance to talk to her. Yes, she hated Chen Ziyue from the bottom of her heart because she had everything that should have belonged to her. Even the man she liked wanted to get married to Chen Ziyue.

Why?

Just because of Chen Ziyue's rich family background and status.

This did not sit well with Song Ning. She was just a mere orphan with nobody to support her and hence when she got a chance to become friends with Chen Ziyue, she used it to her advantage. Her friendship with Chen Ziyue was purely for benefit. While Chen Ziyue considered her a good friend, she did not. Her goal was to snatch everything that belonged to Chen Ziyue.

Pretending to be her friend, she got closer to Chen Ziyue's inner circle. This also gave her a chance to get close to Si Jingyun, Chen Ziyue's fiance. If sleeping with Si Jingyun gave her a lot of career benefits, then being friends with Chen Ziyue made her step inside the rich inner social circle. She was able to go to high social parties, attend functions, go on different vacations and make connections with rich influential people.

Now, with the news that Chen Ziyeu was suffering from a memory loss, she already had a plan in her mind. She was not going to disclose anything about their argument to Chen Ziyue and would pretend to be her good best friend.

A similar thing was going inside Si Jingyun's crafty mind. He was making a plan to use Chen Ziyue's memory loss and get married to her as soon as possible. Anyways, now that she had forgotten everything about him, his affair, and that blackmail incident, he was plotting to strike while the iron was hot.

"Let's go and visit Ziyue," Si Jingyun smiled brightly.

That smile pierced Song Ning's eyes. But, she didn't let it show up on her face.

Si Jingyun, why? Why are you so excited and happy to meet that wild woman?

"Jingyun, do you really want to meet Chen Ziyue?" she asked slowly.

Si Jingyun nodded. "Of course, she is my fiance. And, now that she had woken up, I should go and meet her."

"B-but.... but what, what about that news? Aren't you angry that she slept with that businessman?" Song Ning asked cautiously.

She knew that Si Jingyun liked his woman to be pure, obedient, and only devoted to him alone. He hated fickle women who weren't able to stick with one man. Before sleeping with her, Si Jingyun had already told her that if he finds that she was having any sort of entanglement with other men besides him, then he would dump her and move on.

Song Ning didn't mind his harsh words because she loved him and would never cheat on him. But Chen Ziyue was a different case altogether. If he was so strict with her, a person with whom he was having a casual affair then Chen Ziyue was his fiance. He would never accept her if she was cheating on him with someone else, no matter how many benefits she brought along with her.

Si Jingyun would never accept her as his wife. That's why, for these past two years, she never talked about Chen Ziyue because she didn't want him to remember that woman at all. She wanted his mind, heart, and body to be consumed by her only. Hence, she never brought up this topic in front of him.

But now that she was looking at him, she realized that something was wrong. A bad premonition hit her heart when she heard him say. "Song Ning, Chen Ziyue is innocent," he told her.

Song Ning clenched her fist in anger and her heart burned with rage. Why?

Even after all that, why was Si Jingyun still trusting that woman?

When the photos were out on the internet, everyone believed the news that Chen Ziyue was cheating on Si Jingyun, her fiance, and having an affair with that businessman. Even that businessman accepted the fact that he was seduced by Chen Ziyue. And yet, Si Jingyun was unfazed. He still trusted Chen Ziyue despite all the proofs that were all over the internet.
