2 Their first meeting

Apparently, Tanti was doing the night shift on call on her first day with the chief of the resident. They took a turn to check on the ICU and PICU as there is some patient just out from surgery. She needs to check with the nurse for the next day operation patient preparation. Tanti works tirelessly with Song Hwa in the GS. There are 6 General surgeons but only two residents in General surgery department. As soon as Tanti join the department, all the senior resident asked for her hand and cheering for her. Yeon Seok friend from General Surgery department called Lee Jung Suk. He has been in a hurry to get Tanti. He calls Jung Suk to ask him for help.

"Jung Suk… do you know where is the new intern?" Yeon Seok asked his friend.

"How is your father? Let's have dinner?" Jung Suk told him.

"My father still in comatose after the emergency surgery… let's meet up for dinner after I met Dr Park. Where is she?" Yeon Seok told him.

"I think she is in the internal medicine ward to check on the patient transfer. You can find her there," Jung Suk told him.

"Thank you," He closed the phone connection and go to 7th floor for the Internal medicine ward. Jung Suk stopped in awe and looked at his phone on his hand. He always startled with his best friend Yeon Seok. He always a straight forward person who always care with his patient. He always put them in his priority. Jung Suk knew him well enough since in their University time when they first acquaintance together. however, a big question comes to his mind as he never ever think about any woman and just now, he is asking about the new resident who just joined into the hospital. He needs to follow up about this.

He stopped in the nurse station to check about Dr Park position. The nurse told him that Dr Park will be back from room 7203. Yeon Seok walked to the room 7203 when he peeks from outside. He impressed with her way and empathy to the patient. The patient smiled with her explanation about their transfer after the operation. The nurse who accompanies Tanti spotted Prof. Ahn on the door listening. She bowed to him and he nodded his head. When Tanti finished with the patient, the nurse informed her about Professor Ahn.

"good evening, Professor Ahn. What can I help you?" Tanti bowed to Yeon Seok.

"Are you busy? Can we talk over coffee? I need you to help me with something," Yeon Seok offered to buy her a coffee.

"sure…"Tanti followed Yeon Seok to the coffee shop on the ground floor. Yeon Seok orders an iced americano for himself and after Tanti told him about her preference of coffee. He orders it for her and pays it with his corporate card. Han Kook hospital issued a corporate card for their doctor with a different tier. As for the resident, their allowance smaller than their doctor. The hospital covers its meal and coffee inside the hospital during their work hour. They find an empty table in the corner and sat down.

"Dr Park… My name is Ahn Yeong Seok and I work as a neurosurgeon. I need your help to sort out my situation at the moment. As you know my father is in comatose at the moment and he got some will for me. It's come from our grandfather," Yeon Seok told her slowly before he breaks his proposal.

"So Professor Ahn grandfather know my grandfather. I am sorry about your father. Now, what kind of help you need from me? Are you seriously want me to assist you with your father operation?" Tanti asked him disbelieved.

"No… he just finished operation by Profession Kwoon this morning. The problem is my father wished from my late grandfather not yet fulfilled and it will be including you to fulfil it," Yeon Seok tried to explain to her.

"Me..? are you serious?" Tanti tried to listen.

"I need you to marry me to safe a lot of people and my father. Can we do it? If our marriage didn't work within two years then I am happy for us to go our separate way," Yeon Seok blurted his proposal to her.

"Me… getting married to you!!! Are you asking me to marry you?" Tanti stood up because of the surprise proposal from Yeong Seok.

"Could you lower your voice and sit down please?" Yeon Seok tried to calm her. She looks around when everyone looks at her reaction and bowed to apologize before she sat down.

"Why? I don't recall my ahal-abeoji (Grandfather) talk about this when I was kids," Tanti tried to reasoning with him.

"I also just find out now, exactly 30 minutes ago. If I have to kneel in front of you now then I will if it's help. Please, my father life is depending on your answer at the moment," Yeon Seok tried to convince him.

"Can you take me to see your father? Could I make a decision after a talk with my mother?" Tanti asked him back as she has difficulties to refuse everyone request. It always her weakness unable to refuse someone. However, she always managed to excel on every task given even it means that her work double than usual.

"let's go…" Yeon Seok stood up and escort her to his father room. He saw her appearance is not bad at all. She is petite and she got a slender body with her height. Her skin toned with wide eyes gives her a different type of beauty compare to another Korean lady. She used her scrub uniform and it shows her height as in his shoulder. They went inside the lift and goes to the VIP floor on the 11th floor. The VIP floor was empty and only occupied by Chairman Ahn. The floor is tightly secure by the security. They all bowed to Yeon Seok when he walks into his father room.
