First meeting with the in law

In the room, his father is comatose on the bed with all the machine hooked up into his body. There is special nurse appointed to take care chairman Ahn. Tanti saw the body of old man powerless on the bed. He must be really handsome when he rules his empire but his time is almost in the end. Tanti put his surgical mask and wash her hand with sanitizer agent before come closer.

"My father is the owner of Han Kook. If we don't get married, a lot of people will lose their job and many kids who need money for their treatment will not get it. Please help me," Yeon Seok come closer to her.

"what happen to him??" Tanti asked him.

"He got brain haemorrhage after fall in the bathroom. Now, the company is on alert if he passed away mean that the company will be sold if we don't get married," Yeon Seok kept persuading Tanti. He actually not a patient man but this time, he needs to be hold up with her pace. Tanti actually is kneeling next to his father and hold up his hand. She prays for his father. It amazes Yeon Seok for the woman he chooses. It won't long before her phone start ringing. She answer the phone and look at Yeon Seok.

"I need to go professor Ahn. I got called to ER there is an accident victim. I need to be the GS consult," Tanti told him.

"I will come down with you. When are you going to give me answer? We will need to go to city hall to get married certificate," Yeon Seok started his nag.

"Professor Ahn… My mother is a cultural minded. If we get married, we can get all the paper work sorted but we will need to hold a marriage ceremony in Indonesia. My grandmother will demand and you actually sorting out my problem. All my cousin from my mother side is already have their first children and my mother already send me to engage with some guy from Indonesia," Tanti smiled to him in the elevator.

"So it mean you are agree to get married with me?" Yeon Seok look at her.

"I said let me talk with my mother and I will give you my answer soon. I have patient in ER now," Tanti answered him.

"How about I replace you as surgical consult for ER now and you made call to your mother. As you know, my father don't have the luxury of time… Okay?" Yeon Seok asked her.

"No… how can a professor in NS become GS consult for resident like me?" Tanti look at him disbelieves.

"Go.. call your mother and I will explain to you and your chief resident later…" Yeon Seok pushed her outside the elevator and left her to the ER.

In emergency room, Dr Jin sun woo is in surprise to see Prof Ahn as GS consult. she did ask to call dr Park for the TA (traffic accident) victim. There are three Victim brought to ER. The first victim is the assailant from the truck. He was Complaining for tight chest and unconscious at the moment. the cardio thorax surgeon come to the ER to check on the truck driver. Apparently, the third bone of ribs piercing through to his lungs. He got severe pneumothorax (fail lungs) as the blood fill through the cavity of the lungs. The second victim got tourniquet in his left upper knee under the jugular veins as his bellow knee crushed. As soon as Yeon Seok saw it, he instructs Sun Woo to take x-ray for the leg until his hips with the warm saline and pain medication. The third victim come with his head injuries and bruise spleen. He is unconscious due on the trauma. Yeon Seok check on his pupil and reaction wheeled him into the hybrid room and stabilize him by put ET (endotracheal tube) and hooked it to ventilator. He instructs them to do ultrasound on the spleen and give him warm saline with blood to help his blood lost. As soon as he is stabilizing to get CT Scan to check for the damage on his brain and limb.

"Mom… what are you doing?" Tanti called her mother on the phone.

"I am with your grandmother and your aunty… your cousin from your aunty is getting engage this time… can you get your time of in three months to attend their wedding after the Eid celebration," her mother started to speak on the phone.

"Mom… I just started my work now and you asked me to get day off… mom, do you know about my grandfather promise with his friend?" Tanti asked her mother.

"I heard about it from your father. He thought it was void as both families got son instead of daughter. Why? Your grandmother asked you to be present for this year Eid celebration as you have been absent for the last 5 years," Her mother started to nag her.

"Mom, how about if I got a boyfriend and he proposed to me? What should I do?" Tanti break the news to her mother.

"What he is doing? How old is he? Do you want me to meet with his parent?" her mother got excited with the news.

"Mom… I still need to pursue my career as doctor… why do you want me to get married so soon?" She protested to her mother.

"Tell me more about him… how old is he? Just say yes no matter what… no one ever proposed to you," her mother get excited to the idea that her daughter get married. Apparently, her mother still hold the old culture of Indonesia that girl need to get married when she is over 21 years old. Apparently, Tanti almost reached 25 years old and almost all her cousin got their first child already. There is the main reason Tanti stop to go back to Surabaya, her hometown.

"Mom… do you like me to get married? I will bring you home husband then…" Tanti got angry with her mother.

"hey… is he Korean? Bring him here and we need to get you proper married ceremony in Indonesia. You are my only daughter and I need everyone to pay me back," Her mother give her the reasoning.

"Do you have a daughter to get even with everyone?" she complaint with her mother idea.

"Hey… I spent a lot of money to attend everyone child wedding. Now, this is my turn to get back on them… bring him back soon okay!!!" Her mother told her on the phone.

"Mom…. I close the connection…" Tanti almost put off the connection but she could hear her mother screamed.

"you are not pregnant right!!!!" Her mother asked her the main question.

"MOM…" Tanti screamed back to her mother nagged. She couldn't understand her mother thinking. She is the most annoying mother in the world for Tanti. However, she loved her so much and annoyed by her nagging. The only thing she couldn't refuse if her grandmother, from her mother side, asked her something. She have to do it.
