3 When looking for guild

Spending the whole afternoon at the smithy wasn't bad at all considering how much information Bai Ruoyan obtained from Eros. It couldn't be helped. A person he initially thought of as aloof and introverted was actually talkative once it was a talk regarding his hobbies. The moment everything was done, 3 hours passed by already.

Bai Ruoyan then walked towards the town center. He headed towards the guild headquarters in order to look for a guild. According to the information he heard while he's not busy doing his stuff at the barn, they said that the guild headquarters listed all of the guilds in District 31 and listed them according to the contribution they had done in the guild's history. A guild is considered as every adventurer's muses. Many songs and odes got created solely for the sake of raising new adventurers. He was inspired to join after hearing the heroic exploits of Derrick from District 7. Not only that, Aki Kangxi from District 1 always travelled around the world in order to help as many adventurers as possible and their encounter will always forever be in his memories.

Technologies in this world can be funny. Some people used the traditional way while some fused science in it. The effect on how successful it can be varied though. He heard numerous stories of how many curious experts died due to the explosions caused by the fused technologies. The guild's headquarters is a different stories. The magical way a transparent bright screen lit up is one thing that makes it way more convenient than using tehcnologies. He can see the rankings of the guild in District 31 from there. Guilds from other district is a different matters though.

The way of how this world works is pretty strange. There are various reasons for why guild exists in every district. In this world full of magic, there's unfortunately a causality effect. Where there is magic, there will always be monsters. The scientists of this world speculated that the existence of magic mutates animals into monsters which further evolves them into the dangerous beings they are. One of the most dangerous beings that always rampaged the town is called Qiongqi although they are more well-known as Kamaitachi.

Bai Ruoyan always thought that it was good that the world has balance. After all, the law of causality has always been what makes this world orderly. The flow of magic may have caused the monsters to mutate but so was every humanoid creatures that roam on this land. Although its true that monsters caused some casuality, in fact he felt that they are way more crueler. One time, he was forced to walk away from those fox spirit cubs for he was unable to save them away from their owner. Those poor cubs got tortured until they screeched and hissing rather ferally when approached.

Scrolling up and looking at some of the guilds listed, Bai Ruoyan sighed when he found out that most of them are full. Looking up and scrolling through the list of information again, he soon found out with delight that there was one guild in top 10 that wasn't full yet.

"Chuan..." he muttered. He looked at the guild leader's name and noted it in his head. ''Harmon Joa' is a pretty typical name here. He went to the counter in order to get his registration form and filled out both his information along with Kristina Royal. The joy of being his mama's favourite was what he took advantage for.

After he finished, he went out to look for something to pass his day on. Helping to hunt Kamaitachi is out of question. He's still pretty weak. Besides, he haven't buy the crossbow yet. Eros promised him that he'll got a good one with better deal for him which may took a while.

While walking down the streets, he saw a post-it note on the floor. He picked it up and read the content, 'Happy birthday Biscuit Marie! 07/06/2020'. Huh, that's strange. Is that supposed to be a biscuit brand's anniversary today? Hmm, should be. If it's him/her, he/she would be sensible enough to comment immediately on this paragraph's comment section.

Further down walking the vendor, he saw some interesting people. There's a mage with ice magic down the streets talking to a guy with a rather funny hair. He can see that he's a demon however. The mage herself, he debate, was a race called Naga. He won't mistook those half-bodies for anywhere after all. Although they both seems like wonderful people to talk to, he wouldn't want to interrupt for Bai Ruoyan himself was an introvert. He will interrupt another time but not now.

A crash caused him to look up from his daze however. He saw a rather boisterous looking woman trying to escape from a huge bear. Seeing those bear caused him to look at it worshipfully but also alerted his mind. After all, a bear in town is no laughing matter. There's no time to think however for she headed his way.

"Why the heck do you lead a goddamn bear here," he shouted towards the woman while running crazily. The bear gains speed quickly after all and before he knew it, the woman was next to him.

"I used a teleportation talisman. How should I know that the bear actually followed me here also?!" she shouted while gritting her teeth. Now that he looked back, he saw her shoulder had a rather large scratch. He noted that the shoulder was still bleeding with some blood gushing out although it seems that it was healing rather slowly. Looking at her head and legs, he confirmed that she's a werebeast for she had rabbit's ear on her head. Her powerful legs also confirmed his suspicion.

"We should formulate a plan now," he heaved while trying to catch his breath. It can't be helped. He had history of asthma before. He asked Mama Kristina also and confirmed that his twin Aone also suffered from the same disease. The difference is that he recovered already by the time he reached 12 years old of age. The only results that disease gave him was shitty stamina.

"What's your plan?!" She shouted.

"How should I know?!!" He screamed.

Those moments of shouting and screaming got interrupted though because as soon as they reached the town center, the bear suddenly dropped down into a loud 'thump'. Stopping from their run, they both looked back to see a group of people standing before the bear. Looking at the faces of the group, Bai Ruoyan's face light up.

"Avocadabro, you've saved me!" he said with relief after seeing his dad. The rest of the groups must've been the elite team of District 31. He saw the leader of Fruit Baskets, Juicy Suika in the lead as well as the almighty vice-leader Meowmy. Those paws and cat ears shouldn't be a mistake. Plus the appearence of that freckles face of the leader confirmed it. After all it should be noted that he's actually an ordinary human, plain but extraordinary. The composition of the rest of the team was also amazing. He saw Seven, or at least he assumed. After all Seven was known to be mysterious in nature and a mighty assassin. No one knew where he came from but looking at him, he can deduce that he's at least an elf. He heard rumours that he can multiply himself although he's afraid to ask Avocado.

"Why are you even here?" Avocado asked frustatingly. It wasn't everyday that he saw this son of him that caused a rift between their family but it's not like he could blame him. After all, it was his fault for not being an understanding husband. Really, he dislikes children very much.

Bai Ruoyan pouted. "I was registering for a guild and after walking around I stumbled into this woman who failed at teleporting," he snitched. Immediately the woman kicked his leg though luckily he still retained his balance.

Bai Ruoyan suddenly smelled watermelon scent in front of him. All of sudden, he saw that vice-leader Meowmy in front of him looking at him rather curiously. Her rather big eyes really caused him to be caught in surprise and shock. "So this is your son that's in your wife's womb for four years, Avo?" She asked. It seems that those tale spreads wide about him being born late. He blushed rather wonderfully because of shame.

"Yup, that's him. Also, I've divorced my wife years ago already ya know," Avocado said while sighing rather tiredly. Dealing with Meowmy was very tiring. Dealing with both Suika and Meowmy's combined is even more tiring especially since both have been together for years now. They do have a child but the child is in another district. Looking back at his son, he glared at him forcefully.

"You go with me to the detention center and that's final," he said. Both people's wrists got cuffed, in this case Bai Ruoyan with that other woman as they got led to the detention center, not without some scuffle here and there which led to Avocado's face full of scratches. For some reason the other members are flawless which caused him some grievences as they walked to the building right in the corner of the town southeast from the town center.
