3 Constant Help

Everything was painted with white when Leona opened her eyes. She let her eyes roam around, trying to think where she is. The last thing she remembers is that they were having an activity and this guy named Will keeps getting on her nerves, then she suddenly feels dizzy and can't properly hear what her friend, Kir was saying. Everything went to black and she have no idea what happened from that moment on.

"You're awake. Are you okay?" a lady wearing an all-white dress and a white cap enter the room

"I'm your nurse for today" she added giving Leona a warm smile

"Nurse? What do you mean? Where am I?" she asked the lady, touching her head which still feels a little bit dizzy

"Oh, you're here in the school's clinic. You fainted, remember?" the nurse said trying to know if Leona remembers something or not

"I what!? You've got to be kidding me!! I can't just faint, the last thing I remember is we had an activity. I have to get back to class" Leona panic

She immediately grabbed her things and tried her best to stand up but not even a second passed by when her legs suddenly turn to jellies and fall down on bed.

"You can't. You have to relax first" the nurse said

"No... no... I can't. I have to go now"

"The professor was there when you fainted. I'm sure she'll understand" the nurse said, making the girl calm down

After a few more talks, the door flew open and a man entered the room, bringing health beverages

"Hey, you're awake. How are you?" he said

"Oh, River, it's you" Leona said staring at the man who's in front of her, smiling

"What's her findings?" River said as he turned his attention to the nurse

"Fainted due to stress and exhaustion" the nurse simply replied

"You should listen to the nurse and take a rest. Here, I brought you some drinks. I don't know what you prefer so I just bought their bestsellers" River said, placing the paper bag on the table

"Thanks. Are you the one who brought me here?" Leona asked the guy

For a moment, silent overlaps the entire room. The nurse and River exchange gazes trying to read each other's answer. Before the nurse could even respond to Leona's question, River cut her off by saying Yes. The nurse just looked at him and simply nodded, letting out a disappointing smile.

"Really? Thank you so much" Leona replied, letting her red cheeks becomes visible as she blushes to the man's response

"I must have been so heavy" she added

"Nah, you're pretty lightweight" he replied, making the girl blush more by his response

Their sudden eye contact was then disrupted by the nurse who excuses herself from them.

"So, how are you feeling?" River asked

"Fine, I guess. Still a little bit dizzy though" the girl replied

"I need to get back to class" she added

"You don't need to. I check your study load and you don't have remaining classes for the rest of the day" the man said which made the girl widen her eyes

"You're kidding. How long was I out?" she asked

"Probably the whole morning? I mean, it's already 3 in the afternoon."

"Oh shit! I have to get to my job" she said in panic

"Hey, hey, hey, calm down. It's gonna be fine"

"No, it's not. I have to work or I might get fired" she said and hurriedly pack all of her things

"Fine then, let me take you to wherever your job is" the guy said following Leona

"No, you don't have to do that. I've already taken up much of your time" she said

"That's not a problem. What are friends for, right?" River insisted

In the end, Leona can't really resist him, especially when she's already late for work. The last thing she needs right now is a ride which was immediately offered by River. Right after Leona settle in the passenger seat, he immediately brings his black mustang to life. He speeds up, not caring about the other cars who almost crashed them.

"Jesus! I think, I'm gonna die before I could even arrive" Leona uttered

"Relax, princess. I'm just trying my best so that you won't arrive too late at work" he replied fixing the sunglasses that he's wearing

"Who cares if I'm late!? What matters is my life." she whined

"Alright, alright, I'll slow down. Geez, you're such a scared baby" he chuckles

"This is not funny! Do you always drive like this? Don't you ever think about the possible risk? You might die because of an accident!"

"Should I be happy that you're worrying about me?" he teased

"No, of course not! For once, think about your precious life!"

"Well, thank you for thinking that my life is precious"

After a few more hours, they arrived at a fast-food chain. Outside of it, lays a statue of a bee. Leona hurriedly changed her uniform inside the staff room.

"I'm so sorry, I'm late" she uttered to their manager

"Geez, Leona! You've been late for 15 minutes. Do you still want to keep your job or not?" the manager said hinting a bit of annoyance in his voice

"Yes, I do. I'm so sorry, something came up while I'm on my way"

"If the time is pressure in your part then tell me so that we can find solution for it. Don't just suck it up. It won't do you any good" the manager uttered

"I'm really sorry" she said looking down, embarrassed

"Forget it, go to your position now and don't forget to thank Cassandra who work overtime because of you"

"Yes. I will, manager"

When Leona went to her position, she saw Cassandra looking so tired. Nevertheless, the girl still spread out a smile on her face when she saw Leona arrived for work. Leona suddenly feels guilty for arriving so late.

"I'm so sorry, I'm late" Leona whisper to her

"What are you sorry about. And why are you here?" Cassandra asked

"What?" the girl asked, confused

"I thought you won't come. Kir texted me that you fainted, I'm guessing it was because of stress and so I volunteer to work overtime. Are you okay now?" Cassandra asked with a hint of worry in her tone

"Yes, yes I am. Thank you so much"

"That's no problem at all. Call me if you need any help. I'll stay for a little bit" Cassandra said and proceeded to the staff room.

Leona gave Cassandra a warm smile and turn her attention to the customer in front of them.

"Good afternoon ma'am. Could I get your order?" she asked.

After the lady ordered, another customer arrived

"Good afternoon! What should I get for..." before she could even finish her sentence, she furrowed her brows

"You didn't leave yet?" she asked

"Why would I? I'm hungry and I want to see you working." River said earning a blush from the girl

After Leona served River's order, the guy gave him a wink and spoke

"I'll wait until you finish your shift. Fighting!"
