1 PROLOGUE

I never knew that 2020 was full of surprises. There are a lot of negativity unleashed in the beginning of this new decade. In my experience, 2020 is unlucky. On January, Taal Volcano erupted along with other volcanoes worldwide (which was the beginning of more volcanoes erupting this year), the wildfires worldwide and the death of a legend, Kobe and Gianna Bryant (may they rest in peace)

Then, that's where everything hit the fan. Where everything went downhill in a way that we didn't expect would ever happen. COVID-19 completely took us by surprise. With this pandemic, many families separated from their loved ones to reduce the risk on the virus transmission. We miss our friends but we must stay safe. Many people lost their jobs because of the pandemic and now they have to worry on how to sustain the needs of their families.

We are unprepared. We are overwhelmed. We are shocked. We never this would happen. But if we want this to end, let us all follow the health protocols given to us. To ensure the safety of us and of our loved ones and to reduce the risk of contracting the virus.

Now here goes the first chapter of one of the worst years of my life....
