Chapter 67 CONTRETEMPS

Meanwhile, back in Archer's room, the two children stay silent as Florence and Zyair stormed out of the room. Arhes is just sitting on the corner while biting his nails while Archer is acting as if he's reading the book.

The former heaved out a sigh to collect his resolve. He tighten his hold on the paper bag and stood up from his seat. Archer seemed to notice his presence beside him so he looks at Arhes whose hands are extended towards him.

His forehead creased while looking at the paper bag that Arhes is holding. "What's that?"

The other child averted his reddened face. "These are books that we bought on our way here. I don't know if you're going to like these but, I can attest that they are good."

Archer's cheeks quickly heat up with the thought that someone, other than his older sister, is giving him something that he's enthusiastic of. He wants to get the paper bag from Arhes but when he noticed the national book store sign on it, he became hesitant, and Arhes noticed it.
