Decision

Lily instinctively hugged Zero, not saying a word and simply giving him support to continue.

"Matron said that they came looking for a silver-haired child," Zero went on, "And the other kids told them about me."

Zero sighed, hugging Lily back.

"Are you okay?" Lily asked tentatively.

Zero had never talked about his past, other than being in the orphanage. He didn't even raise the issue of his parents, such as whether he wondered where they were and why he was abandoned there.

Lily never prodded either because she didn't like to pry. She felt it was extremely private and though she may be his girlfriend, it did not mean she was privy to every single thing in his mind.

If he didn't want to talk or think about it, then she would not ask.

Zero didn't answer Lily's question but instead, looked at the horizon, "I used to think I was abandoned because of my silver hair. That I was a freak and an abnormality that they could not accept."
