Lucas roared while beating them up.

Mark & Rachel were having a hard time getting him to stop along with the guards. They realized it was nearly impossible to control this guy when he's really angry!

Mia who was a little behind Rachel also came across this sight. Mrs. James was terrified to see Lucas's rage as well as Mia.

Mia didn't realize when but she screamed,

"NO! LUCAS!"

Hearing Mia's voice Lucas instantly stopped. He turned around and looked towards Mia. Her face showed traces of fear and shock. At this time police has also arrived and they took in Kelvin & Jacob as well as Mark & Lucas away. Walking away Lucas turned and looked at Mia once again with a calm expression as if trying to comfort her.

In the police station, officers took custody of Kelvin & Jacob under the charges of kidnapping, physical & sexual assault and drugs. Lucas & Mark's family were informed and after paying for the penalty & apologizing for their public fight earlier they were free.

After resting at home for two days Mia decided to go back to school. Rachel & Mark asked her to rest for few more days but she insisted. These days both of them along with Rachel's parents and Lily took good care of her. Everytime Mark visited her Lucas tagged along.

They didn't talk but there was something between them like there was no need for them to speak. When Lucas heard that she wanted to go back to school he frowned after all some of her injuries were still fresh causing her pain and there were bruises too.

Next day they all went school. Obviously the whole incident was not a secret to anyone so, Mia was the center of attraction all through the day. The principal and teachers asked Mia if she was okay and if she wanted few more days to rest. Mia assured them but the principal suggested her to have sessions with the school psychologist to help her with her trauma.

After school Mia went to Lucas's home.

"Mia, you really don't have to do this right now! You should rest and take care of yourself." Lily said.

"I'm really okay, Lily! I'm getting really bored staying in home all day long and I really miss Annie. I want to play with her. Please, can I?" Mia made a puppy face at her.

"Oh fine! I can't win against that face of yours!"

Lily laughed.

Whenever she wanted anyone to do anything for her Mia would convince them like this only. She looked really cute acting this way. It was her lethal attack!

Lily left soon leaving Annie with Mia. She really missed Annie and she was also feeling really low these few days so she started playing with Annie. After all spending time and playing with little kids is the bestest way to chase away your sadness, isn't it!

When Lucas got home Annie was sleeping soundly in her crib and Mia was sitting in the couch with her head resting on her left hand and eyes closed.

'Is she trying to increase her pain resting like this?' Lucas thought.

Then he walked to the couch; "Mia..."

Mia opened her eyes and looked up at him.

"Mmm?"

"Shouldn't you rest properly? Are you trying to make your body worse?"

Mia realized her posture was actually very uncomfortable for her. She didn't say anything and nodded.

Lucas saw her guilty expression and took a few steps to kitchen then stopped hearing her voice.

"Lucas..."

He turned and looked at her, "Yeah?"

Mia thought for few seconds then she asked, "What do you think of me?"

Lucas squinted his eyebrows. He didn't understand why she was asking something like this.

"What do you mean?"

Mia breathed heavily and this time her voice hoarse as she asked, "What do you think about the incident? Do you think I was wrong? Did I des..."

Her voice broke in the end. Lucas now realized what she meant and even though she didn't finish he understood what she was trying to say.

Her heart was beating really fast right now and she was trembling. She didn't know why but she really wanted to know what Lucas thought about the whole incident. Especially about Her!

After all he was the first person to find her in that state and about the incident. He was the first one to comfort her and the first one to fight for her.

Lucas walked up to her and kneeled down infront of her. Her teary eyes staring at him and her body trembling infront of him. He took her shaky hands in his and held them firmly as he said;

"I think you are the strongest girl I've ever met, Mia."

Tears fell from her eyes. Lucas reached out a hand and brushed them away. His other hand still holding hers as he continued,

"And I think that incident, was just another phase of your life to make you even stronger from before.

You fought those b*st*rds all by yourself! You protected yourself!"

"And you stood for the right thing against them earlier, so. No. I don't think you deserved what happened! No girl deserves to be treated like that!"

He caressed her cheek as he said again,

"I think you deserve better, Mia! Much better! The Best Of Everything!"

Mia burst into tears leaning into his hand. Lucas's each word brought a warm and soothing feel to her and she felt her heart feeling light as if a weight has been lifted off.
