When Syl got home he got a notification.

[You helped your classmate Ayanokoji when he was in great peril! Reward 1x spin.]

"Sweet! Spin me baby!"

[Ding! Host has received. (fighting talent) [Black widow- Natasha Rominoff style] x1]

"WOAH THAT'S HUGE!"

He felt his body glow and movement engrained themselves in his muscle memory. He felt immensely more confident in his strength.

"Hahahaha! This is great!!"

"Spin again!"

[Host received. (Cooking Talent) [Soma Level] x1]

"Wha- This is busted!"

He started glowing as he cheered. "Again! Again!"

[Host received. (Physical enhancement) [All 5 senses (High level)] x1]

"Wooohooo baby! That's what I'm talking about!!!" Gimme more!

"Bah! One more!"

[Host received. (Caffeine pill) x1]

"... One more!"

He glowed yellow again and time seemed to slow down around him as his thoughts sped up.

"This is huge! One more!!"

"What?!! Fucking spin! I didn't put any restrictions on you today! Spin me!"

Syl checked his balance! It was 4,935 points!

He couldn't even buy a spin!

He was pissed! His luck was so good!

Syl pulled out his phone and was about to text everyone in his contacts asking for points. He was even gonna ask Kushida!

[Host, please stop.]

"Bu-but! My luck! It's so good!"

[Haaa… I'll let you do mock draws, alright?]

Syl nodded sadly.

Truly a gambling addict through and through… This is why he hates gacha!

The next day.

Syl got home from school and looked out his window again. After accidentally running into Kushida the other day he was on the lookout for something. He wouldn't let this moment slip, especially not after yesterday!

Today ended up being the day he was waiting for. He saw Horikita walk outside of the dorms from his window at night.

Syl was giddy just thinking about it! Maybe he could kick Manabu's ass right now? Black widow was no slouch!

He quickly put on his pink bunny slippers and ran outside! Well, he didn't run. You're not allowed to run in the hallways at school!

Syl finally made his way outside only to see Ayanokoji ahead of him.

Syl didn't call out just yet. He wanted to make a dramatic entrance!

He considered dropping out the second floor window and landing beside everyone, but he didn't wanna have to use his devil fruit just yet… Or break his knees.

Both weren't exactly ideal…

Anyway!

Syl finally rounded the corner only to see Ayanokoji catch Manabu's hand.

Manabu narrowed his eyes as he looked at Ayanokoji suspiciously.

He suddenly attacked, but was easily dodged.

Syl activated his stealth skill and walked up to Horikita (his classmate).

"What's a place like you doing in a girl like this?"

Horikita jumped back when she noticed the person suddenly beside her!

"WHO?!... Why are you here?!" She asked after quickly catching her breath from the scare.

Syl shrugged and pointed at the vending machine. "I like to take walks at night, and I wanted a drink."

Horikita just turned her head away from Syl and back to the fight, ignoring him.

She was too cold!

Syl just watched as Manabu questioned Ayanokoji.

"What martial arts do you practice?"

"Calligraphy and piano."

Syl cut in. "Really? I do arts and crafts!"

Manabu and Ayanokoji ignored him. Poor Syl!

"You're too skilled to not have any training."

Ayanokoji shrugged in response.

Syl clicked his tongue and kicked a rock. He wasn't doing anything! Manabu was one of his favourite characters! Plus, this was the best moment in book 1! Well maybe second best after Kushida's total bitch reveal…

But Syl couldn't do anything!

He was throwing a tantrum…

What a loser!

While Syl was lost in his unpleasant mood, Ayanokoji and Manabu finished talking.

Manabu looked at Syl. "Why are you here as well?"

Syl sighed. "Apparently for no reason…"

He was about to walk away when Manabu spoke up again.

"You have already attracted a lot of attention from the second years. You should be careful."

"Thanks. But I already got the warning."

Manabu nodded. "You're an anomaly as well. My sister seems to have made two good friends."

Manabu walked away after acknowledging Syl.

Syl's mood did a complete 180! He was ecstatic! Manabu recognized him!

Little did Syl know it was only because Manabu thought he spill those noodles on the camera on purpose in order to lure out the second years and get reparations.

Unfortunately Syl really did just get punched too hard and accidentally destroyed the camera… Maybe you could argue that he used that lucky event to draw out the second years and get them in trouble…maybe.

But knowing Syl…

I'm sure you can come to a conclusion on your own…

Anyway!

Syl was smiling broadly!

"Hear that? You brother acknowledges me!"

Horikita had an extremely dark face. She was pissed! How could her brother recognize this idiot over her?!?! Life was too unfair!

She quickly walked away without saying a word and shoved past Syl on her way out. Bumping into him and nearly knocking him over! She was a really strong girl!

Syl looked at Ayanokoji. "What's her problem?"

Ayanokoji sighed and walked away.

Syl just shrugged and followed him home.
