4 Memories

Flashes of light passed by Gu Long's eyes. Flitting images there and there, none of which Gu Long could clearly see. But he felt. Powers colliding with each other that were so huge that just the aftershock could destroy worlds. Suddenly, time stopped. Everything was dark.

*BOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM*

Space itself cracked and then there was light. Gu Long's view moved forward. Strings of all different kinds of Essences extended from Gu Long. Balls of gaseous(😂😂) fire floated in mid air. Some formed groups in all different kinds of shapes. Dust particles filled the space between them. The dust formed compact circles and water droplets appeared on a few. Then came lakes, then seas and finally oceans. Life grew, plants, trees and animals. They all grew according to his will. Then after millions of years passed another two cracks formed. One ejected a dark sentient creature made completely of Evil, Dark and Hell Essence.

'What the hell is Essence' Gu Long thought.

From the other crack a phoenix slowly revealed itself. Fire Essence and Light Essence covered it. The moment the Darkness, as the being made of the Black Essences was called, it attacked Gu Long. The dark being was powerful, even more powerful than Gu Long. Gu Long joined forces with the Phoenix and battled against the Darkness. Billions of years elapsed as the never ending struggle between the Light and the Dark destroyed lives, worlds, galaxies, universes. Then one day Gu Long found what made him so powerful. He unlocked completely and banished the Darkness to another dimension he had made. Some humans called it Hell. Others didn't even consider its existence. They only knew that there was an Underworld were you could be reincarnated. The Underworld and Hell were different Realms, not the same. But believe or not, even Gu Long could not control the Underworld Realm. He had always known there was something more powerful than him but no matter how hard he tried he couldn't advance. The memory's details were obscured and the present Gu Long couldn't get much knowledge from it. But one thing is for sure. When he saw that phoenix, a hatred so immense rocked his body. He HATED that phoenix. He didn't know why but he did. The world once again spun around him once more.

Flashes of light of memories, all unclear, all jumbled up. Suddenly, he was once again standing on the metal disk in the testing room once again. Not a second had passed in the Real World[1] though it was trillions of years in the Dream World[2]. Looking around at the chaos in the room, Gu Long couldn't help but feel embarrassed. The examiners quickly stood up and patted the dust of their robes. Their hair was in disarray and there was dirt on their faces, but their eyes were gleaming with admiration and excitement.

"Dragon talent! The highest level talent! Is... Is this real?!" Asked Gao.

"It is damn real you idiot!" Shouted Duan in happiness.

"Wait! Let's not get ahead of ourselves. We still have to test his comprehension level and mental capacity, body constitution and qi affinity. Besides, he has Dragon level talent in cultivation. We don't know about other areas.." Gao calmed down and thought rationally.

"Well let's get on with it then!" Exclaimed Duan.

They shuffled around cleaning and ordering everything. Gu Long just stood there dumbfounded.

'What are they talking about. Could I have done this.' Gu Long thought.

Soon enough the duo had completely cleansed the room. They were ready for the next step.

In the hands of Duan there was a small circular amulet. Inlaid in the middle of the amulet there was a flawless, clear and azure sapphire. It was encircled by a simple band of gold with at the top a small dragon carving.

"Ok. Gu Long, all you have to do is grab the amulet. It will then project your level of comprehension and mental capacity. The scores are separate so there will be two different numbers, phoenixes or dragons projected in the air. Understood?" Asked Duan.

Gu Long nodded. He stepped of the metal disk and walked over to the examiners. He slowly grabbed the amulet from the hands of Duan and flipped his hand over so that the amulet was facing upwards. After a few seconds what happened was... nothing.

"Duan, do you think he is that dumb? Because nothi-" Gao was interrupted by another explosion.

*BOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM*

Another blast of air and blue light expanded outwards. The previously cleaned and ordered room reverted back to how it looked after the first explosion. This time the walls even cracked. Two dragons made of light appeared instead of one this time. They roared.

*ROOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAARRR*

*ROOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAARRR*

It was a sound that could reach into ones very soul. They circled and danced around Gu Long and he reached out his hands once again. He fingers grazed the dragons, then they passed through the dragons. The weird phenomenon that took place before didn't happen occur again.

"AAAAAAAAHHHHHH, IT'S DRAGON TALENT, SOOOOOO AWESOME" A scream pierced through the silence.

Duan and Gao had gone crazy. They franticly tried to slap and pinch each to make sure it was real. They looked like a pair of monkeys fighting over the most delicious banana in the jungle.

"AAAAAAAHHH CALM DOWN, DUAN DON'T SCREAM!" Gao.

"I CAN'T CALM DOWN! BY THE WAY YOU ARE SCREAMING AS WELL!" Duan.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" Gao.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" Duan.

After about fifteen minutes the duo finally calmed down. Good thing that the room was soundproofed or else the people outside would panic and tun out the Long Family gates because they thought that there was some kind attack, most likely, a monster attack.

They once again put painstaking effort into cleaning and ordering the room as fast as they can. Gu Long helped this time but when the examiners saw this they quickly pushed back to the middle of the room.

"You are a prodigy! You are not allowed to do this kind of work! Understood?" Gao said

"I think so?!" Gu Long became more dumbfounded.

Shortly after, they finished and they once again stood in front of Gu Long.

[2]Dream World- Where you go to when you recall memories or when you dream. You can die here if your spirit is destroyed but only people with certain special constitutions can enter the dream world in a physical state.
