16 Awakening

Nate felt blissful though.

Everything that ran through him was of the god of darkness.

Of course, everything dark belongs to him.

The paintings was still a clear evidence.

And then, maybe...

Nate might be able to access some of sun God's power like the god of darkness had attained.

Nate wasn't done with checking the runes. So, he concentrated on it.

Nate immediately understood that indigenes come from the very souls of creatures, or humans to be precise.

Indigenes are the afterimage of an already slayed creature which is sent to be your companion as a boon for your kill.

And at the moment, Nate had none.

These indigenes were quite rare to comeback so Nate immediately shifted to the next.

Innate Affinity: [Fated], [Child of Darkness], [Shadows]

Nate had already seen the description of the first two.

But still, he highlighted the description.

Affinity Description: "Fated - You are destined for all things good and bad in this life."

Affinity Description: "Child of Darkness - You are one of the last standing lineage of the god of darkness."

Affinity Description: "Shadows - Three shadow fiends planned to subdue the great child of Darkness. But turns out, Child of darkness was able to subjugate the shadows, thereby inheriting their affinity."

Nate understood immediately.

He had killed the shadow creatures without actually lifting a finger and then, the gods blessed him with their high affinity. Which means high affinity to shadows plus darkness equals Very potent aspect.

Nate immediately grinned.

Then,

Attributes: [Divine], [Ember of faith], [Stalwart]

Attributes Description: "Divine - You bear the faint scent of divinity on you making even gods and deities see your worth."

'Ohh...'

Nate's eye brows raised.

So...

probably, his divine nature can make even the most weakest of all attack potent in his case.

That was the logic Nate could come up with.

If his strike, no matter what. Powerless or powerful, it is meant to leave a devastating soul attack to whoever he lands the attack on. That fact was so clear.

Nate stared at the write up before him.

The briefs in that description told so much how powerful the darkness can be.

Take the threaded limbs as an example. If he can manipulate darkness to manifest into tangible objects, they'd be an object of pure disaster.

Nate smiled proudly.

Suddenly, the voice spoke again.

[Evolving dormant core...]

[Awakening Aspect Ability...]

When the voice had spoke of evolving his dormant core, he felt nothing at all.

But after it had said something about Awakening, a subtle change began.

Nate suddenly felt strange.

It was as though his insides was turn upside down, as though revisited by a newfound energy. It wasn't painful.

But as though something was asleep in him and then suddenly stirred and was awakening.

Nate's eye sight sharpened even more. The changes he felt was getting tempting, but not long, a certain coolness amassed his whole body liberating him from the weird sensation.

Utility Description: "Flames - A part of sun God's power was bestowed upon you and a curse."

Utility core: [It heals and it destroys]

Nate blinked.

Wait, so... he can heal and destroy with sun God's power?

Nate was beyond stupefied.

But, of course... it was his flaw that had spoilt the boon.

The power he had now was one that people would envy and best at a beginning stage as the first Nightmare.

Nate smiled.

Then, finally.

[Wake up Nateai, your Trial is over...]

The world instantly spun around and then turned blank.

When Nate opened his eyes, the corners of the sleeping pod welcomed his vision.
