6 Wicked Deals

As Kiro was wondering about the contract sealed on the rock , His possessed body had escaped the tower and now was roaming through the forest. Esgrieth could see every life form , thanks to her ability "bloodlust". It's an rare ability which Esgrieth was granted since birth alongside Time leap . This ability turns the user's eyes pitch black and it reveals vital spots of every single life form caught by the user's eyesight.

Then out of nowhere appears a man wearing a mask , a light armor and a black coat under the armor.

-You must be the one that caused the carnage at the tower.

-And you must be the one who wants to join them

-We will see about that

The mysterious man draws a black scimitar which has a ruby on it's grip. Then charges quickly , trying to land a powerful strike on his opponent. Esgrieth barely dodges the attack ,causing the strike to land on a tree. The tree is cut down in half by the enormous power of the hit.Then the man charges again at Esgrieth. She parries the attack only to break her sword in half leaving her only with a dagger. The man turns his back and then charges once again .

- Time leap

The time starts to slow down , but the masked man is fast enough to land a cut on Kiro's face , then Esgrieth finds the opportunity to stab the man in the back.Everything goes back to normal but the man didn't even flinch . Esgrieth starts to breath heavily , like air wasn't enough for her .

"This body is so fragile , It can't handle the pressure that time leap requires , I'm not done with this body yet "

Esgrieth hops on a tree wig then jumps at the man trying to stab him again but fails , as the man dodges the attack .

-I can see how were you able to slay that many guards back at the tower , but are no match for me

-Are you sure darling?

She charges as fast as she can and the man tries to parry the attack.

-Time leap

The time slows once again and Esgrieth stabs the man right at his chest , penetrating the armor and then at his back viciously , destroying his lungs and heart.

Then everything starts to go back at normal . Esgrieth lays on her knees breathing heavier than before. The man collapses on the ground , looking shocked from not seeing what just happened .

-How could this be possible , Me a hero , defeated by a scum like you , is this really my end , is it ?

then he coughs blood , takes his last breath and then dies from blood loss .

Meanwhile in the dream realm , Kiro sees a light from afar.

"Is that the way out from here ? It has to be it , either that or I'm will be stuck here for a really long time"

Kiro runs towards the light trying to reach it . He feels the sweat dropping from his forehead . He runs faster and faster until he reaches it. He touches the light and suddenly wakes up in front of the masked man's body . He sees his hands covered in blood . He falls on his knees and starts to weep .

"Did I do this ? Have I gone insane ? What the hell is happening with me ?

-You did it , you were the one responsible for his death , and many others.

-You are lying , you are a liar , you are lying

-Can't you see the blood on your hands , It's obviously your deed.

Kiro suddenly stops crying , He wipes off his tears and says

-So it was either him or me huh ?

Esgrieth is shocked , she could't feel regret or fear in his words no more.

-I was at the verge of death , only because of you and this damn kingdom.

He stands up and approaches the corpse . He takes off his clothes , his coat and his black scimitar. He wears them leaving the dead body only with it's mask on and with his light armor , leaving his prison rags on the ground.

-Now it's either me or them

A grin appears on his face , the same grin Esgrieth was wearing .

-Like they think I'll take time to choose

Then he spots carvings on the sword :

"Feed it what's more precious to you"

Kiro instinctively makes a small cut on his finger and drops blood on the gem of the sword. It glows hard .

-So I'm your owner now huh?

Then Kiro leaves the forest walking with the only thing in mind that is survival in this corrupted world.

After hours of traveling he encounters a abandoned cabin.He enters in there and lies on the ground. His eyes get heavier and heavier until he closes them

He finds himself in the field with Esgrieth waiting for him as always.He is wearing the same clothes , the same black coat and the same blade.

-You owe me an explanation

-Are you forgetting who are you talking to darling?

Kiro grins and says

-Did you forget how many lies have you told Esgrieth ? So this is just a dream huh? This is the reason why you don't seem calm here . This is some kind of spiritual realm , I can feel the breeze , I can smell the flowers , I can feel my own sweat , just like when I came in this world. This whole time you were bluffing . Here you are powerless .

Kiro proceeds to draw his sword when he sees Esgrieth laughing.

-At least you aren't as stupid as you look. It took you a while to realize , but i got only one thing wrong , I'm not powerless . Time leap!

The time slows down , the butterflies move their wings slowly in the air , looking like they are floating . Esgrieth's eyes turn black , she pulls out a dagger and charges at Kiro . Kiro not understanding what's going , dodges her attack.

-How is that possible , how are you still moving normally

-What , things didn't go as you expected ?

-That's not happening , how did you become immune from my ability?

-I don't know what you are talking about .

Kiro charges with an incredible speed and strength , almost inhumane . Esgrieth barely dodges that hit. Kiro charges once again at Esgrieth this time attacking multiple times . Esgrieth desperately tries to dodge and parry , only when Kiro kicks her in the stomach . The force of the kick collapses Esgrieth on the ground. Then Kiro quickly punches her on the face several times before laying his blade on her throat barely touching her.

-Come on , kill me , what are you waiting for.

Kiro grins and says

-I can see the fear in your eyes , you aren't as intimidating as you want to look. I know you want to live so I'm offering an agreement. We break the old contract and establish a new one , where you support me with your mana and teach me your abilities as well .

-So you are letting me live?

-Only if you agree with my proposition.

Esgrieth smirks and gets up with difficulty .

-Give me your hand .

-You will see

Kiro gives his hand to Esgrieth and Esgrieth holds it . A light appears between your their hands and they teleport straight to the stone where the old contracts is replaced with the new one.

-Are you happy now?

-What about your abilities?

-Ohhh... You already possess them .

-You saw for yourself when you weren't affected by from my ability. That's the first step of possessing Time leap

-What about that time when your eyes became pitch black?

-You must be talking about bloodlust , I think you already posses it as well. It will appear when you'll need it .

-Then I guess I'm ready to go , since you can't consume I guess you will starve , so i will share a little bit of my life energy with you

-Good choice , you would't want to kill your source of mana ,would you?
