12 Smuggled Death

Kiro was heading to the cabin when a man approached him. Kiro reaches for his sword but the man says:

-I'm not here to fight

-What are you doing here then?

-I was asked to deliver this to you .

The man hands Kiro a letter and says:

-I never saw you , you never saw me -and he walks away

Kiro opens the letter but its written in a language he can't comprehend.

-Bloodlust

Kiro's eyes turn black and he sees the man who handed him the letter in a distance. He runs at him and eventually catches up.

-I need you to read this .

-I didn't know assassins were this stupid

-Do you want to know if there is life after death too?

The man seems a little bit intimidated by Kiro's words but he tries not to show it.

-It says "Meet me at the stables outside the capital , before sunlight.

-Is it all ?

-Yes , this is it , do you mind letting me go ?

-Be on your way.

-Kiro then heads at the stable on foot. He walks for around 40 minutes.

-Bloodlust

Kiro's eyes turn black. He scans the area for horses , until he finds a group of horses and two men , one sitting in a carriage and one talking to him. He heads to the figures until he sees himself at the stables.

-So you finally came

-Who are you ?

-A man who needs a favor , just like you.

He turns his head to see the merchant that hired him a while ago.

-What do you want.

-A favor obviously .

-And what is the favor?

-I think you have heard the news that an ambassador from kingdom of Cassius has come to improve trade relations with kingdom of Hellar . And guess where he is staying.

-At the capital .

-Correct

-What does it have to do with me?

-We want him gone.

-I think you are aware that my wanted posters are all around the capital , how am I going to enter?

-There's where our friend here comes in help , he is going to smuggle you in.

-And what do I get from this ?

-12000 Drezas , I need it to be done as soon as possible. Do you accept ?

-I guess I'm in.

-Excellent , please get in the carriage and cover yourself with a blanket .

-You got it.

Kiro hops in the back of the carriage and covers himself with a blanket.

-Hope you are comfortable in there kid

-Just set off already , I don't have much time left .

The carriage sets off. After a while Kiro hears a voice

-Stop the carriage .

He stops breathing , he doesn't move a muscle .

-State your business!

-I'm a merchant I am delivering this goods to the capital.

-What goods

-Spices mostly , salt

-Well , 250 drezas , 300 if you count the goods

-As you wish .

The merchant hands a bag of money to the guard , the gates are opened . The carriage continues it's way to the capital . After five minutes the carriage stops .

-This is the furthest I can get you , get off the carriage and walk straight until you see a tiled road in the right. Follow that road until you see a big building that is heavily guarded . In that building stays your target. An middle aged man with a long beard , he has a diamond earring on his left ear, that's what I heard at least.

-Got it .

-Good luck kid.

Kiro leaves without saying a word. He carefully sneaks past the patrolling guards , then sees the tiled road . He follows it until he sees a building bigger than others that seems heavily guarded .

-Time leap

-The time slows down , Kiro runs past the guards and enters the building.

"The ambassador must be on the top floor" . -Bloodlust .

Kiro's eyes turn black , he spots a man in the top floor , wearing a gem that shined a lot on his left ear.

-That's gotta be the guy .

Kiro runs to the stairs . Each floor is heavily guarded . Kiro can't hold Time leap any longer so he finds a dark spot where he can rest The time goes back to normal . Kiro breaths heavily

"I got only 3 floors left "

Kiro lurks to the spots that light can't cover. he passes two floors easily but in the last floor , he sees two royal knights guarding the ambassador's room.

-Time leap

The time slows down once again. Kiro throws his dagger at one knight , hitting him in the face with it and he decapitates the other one with his black scimitar. The time goes back to normal. Kiro enters the room and sees the man looking at the sky .

Kiro creeps behind him , he cuts his throat open with his sword and stabs him in the back with his dagger. The ambassador lies dead on the floor.

"Now the hard part where I get out comes"

Kiro ties up all the blankets he can find and makes a rope . He ties it on the window and tries to make his escape but the rope reaches only to the third floor.

"Well I have to improvise now."

He takes out his dagger and puts it against the wall . Then he tries to slide but falls.

He gets up injured .

"At least I'm alive"

Then two guards spot Kiro .

-What are you doing here , state your business!

-I were leaving .

-Wait , It's him ! Capture him now!

-Not today , Time leap

The time slows down, Kiro stabs one of the guards with dagger and slices another with his sword then he makes a run for it though the alleyways. Guards lose sight of him and start to search the city. Kiro catches up with the merchant and says:

-You know the way .

The merchant sets off and eventually leaves the capital . They arrive to the stables and meet the man.

-The job is done

-I were expecting you to take more time , but what can you expect from the man that assassinated baron Aldrich.

-Where is the reward?

-Straight to the point I see , Here it is

-The man hands Kiro the bag of Drezas and Kiro sets off.

- This is not the last job you are going to do for me

-As long as you got the money then Kiro disappears in the shadows .

-We got the job done , who knows what it's going to trigger

The man chuckles a big then the merchant says:

-We'll see.
