20 It's the place I call home

Kiro had gone into the woods seeking for food .

-Bloodlust

Kiro's eyes turn pitch black , as he spots a deer not too far away .

"That wasn't that hard , now I know what I'll be having for lunch and dinner"

He runs towards the figure of the deer until he gets close enough . He climbs a tree and observes the animal feeding on grass.

-Time leap

The time slows down , Kiro jumps on the helpless creature and lands his dagger on it's neck . The time goes back to normal . Kiro then finishes the job by decapitating it with his sword .He begins removing it's skin and insides and drags it to the mansion.

"Wait , I forgot the spices , I doubt I'll find any here"

Then he looks down and finds basil , lying right in front of his feet.

"I remember this , that guy at the ramen added this in the ramen , it was so delicious ."

Kiro picks up as much as he can and stores it in his pocket . The path was peaceful and quiet , even birds couldn't be heard singing , and Kiro takes as much time as he can to enjoy the silence that the forest was giving him. He eventually arrives at the mansion , he drags the deer to the front door and then shouts:

-Luchia , bring a blanket quick !

-I'm coming .

Luchia sees the prey Kiro has caught and then says:

-It sure looks fresh , where are the spices?

Kiro shows her the basil that he collected .

-Well , I think that will do , leave it in the kitchen , I'll make sure too cook it properly , it's enough for lunch and dinner together .

-Sounds good , I have some work to take care off . I'll be back soon.

-You'll find lunch ready for less than one hour.

Kiro sets off in the woods again

"I need a proper amount of food weekly and I know just the right person who can do that for me."

Kiro follows the familiar trail which leads to the capital . Then he waits , and waits , and waits , until a somebody he knew appears walking alone .

He creeps behind the person and then says grinning :

-Long time no see

The girl's face turned pale , she gulped and turned around .

-It...'s it...'s it's you .

-Yes and I need a favor from you ?

-What ... do do you ... want?

-I need a someone to deliver an order of mine weekly at a preferred location . You work at the guild and it won't be that hard I guess .

The reception's face then turns red and she says:

-You must be kidding , no one would willingly deliver your orders here , what if the delivery man gets attacked by beastmen or bandits or.

-Money isn't a problem , I'm willing to pay weekly .

-And what exactly is your order?

Kiro hands the receptionist a small piece of paper written by Luchia. The receptionist reads it and says:

-Food? Is that what you want?

-Obviously .

-What you got in this list might cost around 200 Drezas weekly including the delivery cost

-As I said money isn't a problem . I'm going to pick it up for two days here , clear?

-Understood

-Time leap - then Kiro disappears into thin air

The receptionist continues her way keeping the small piece of paper in her pocket. Meanwhile Kiro arrives at the mansion and enters the dining room , lunch was ready and Luchia was standing on her feet. She looked like she had waited for a long time.

-Where were you?

-It doesn't matter . Sit down and dig in .

Luchia sits down and grabs a knife and a fork and starts to eat the meat slowly , while Kiro was using his bare hands for eating .

-I saw wine in the first floor living room , would you like me to pour you some?

-No , I'd rather pass , I don't drink.

-Well I'll pour some for myself..

-Don't you think you are way too young to drink?

-No I'm not.

-Yes , you are.

-Fine - and Luchia lays down the bottle of wine on the ground .

Kiro and Luchia eat until only one piece of meat is left in the main plate. They both reach for it in the same time .

-Maybe you can let me have this.

-Don't be silly Luchia , I'm the one who got it in the first place .

-I'm the one who cooked it .

They both begin to pull the slice of meat harder and harder.

-I'm the master of the house !

-I work my ass off here !

-I'll have it!

-No I'll have it - then Luchia starts pulling harder

-Fine - then Kiro releases it , causing Luchia too fall off the chair . She looks like she is about to cry but she holds it and gets up with the last piece of meat she obtained and eats it .

-You really are hungry , Anyways , finish this and light the fire place , I'm freezing .

-As you say

Kiro then haves a walk around the house while Luchia lights the fireplace . Kiro enters the living room and sits near the fireplace. Luchia gets out of the room and comes back with a blanket.

-Here you go .

-Thanks . Could you make me some tea ?

-Of course , and she gets of the living room once again and enters the kitchen.

"I'm glad I managed to escape , life here doesn't seem bad after all , I might get used to it "

She boils water and add some basil into it. She waits until the water turns green then she pours the tea into a cup and heads to the living room

-It might taste a little bitter because the lack of sugar ."

-Don't worry , it can't taste that bad . - Then Kiro takes a sip , he regrets his decision , as he let the bitterness conquer his face .

-This tastes terrible.

-I told you .

-Maybe you can have some .

-I appreciate your request but I humbly deny it .

Kiro then takes another sip and gradually gets used to it .

-Maybe you should get some rest as well , it doesn't seem like you have any work to do right now .

-But I ....

-Grab a chair and sit

She grabs a chair then sits near the fireplace .
