“Thank you,” he said as the dolphin lifted its head out of the water, squeaked its good bye, and sped off through the water.

“You’re quite a swimmer, aren’t you?” Christian noted.

“Not as good as I thought I was. I’m exhausted.” Alexander collapsed, puffing, onto the sand. “If it hadn’t been for my dolphin friend and his support, I’d still be out there, arms flailing about like some berserk marionette.”

After Alexander had caught his breath and rested, Christian turned to him.

“Would you like me to show you something?”

“Sure,” Alexander replied.

“Okay.” Christian shuffled around until he was sitting directly in front of Alexander. “Give me your hands. Probably better if you sit cross-legged.”

Alexander did as Christian asked.

“Now give me your hands. Palms up.”

Alexander placed his hands in Christian’s.

“Now, I want you to close your eyes. Count backwards from ten with me, relaxing your muscles more and more with each number.”
