Hestia Familia | Experience

Inside one of the private rooms of the guild, Kai is currently alone with Hestia as they were about to perform the Familia blessing.

Hestia pulled out a needle and using the needle she punctured her index finger causing a small hole to surface before a single drop of divine blood landed on Kai's back.

Hestia then started to guide the said divine blood as she began the construction process of the so called blessing system gods created.

Unbeknownst to Hestia and Kai the blood that landed on Kai's back created a resonance wave with his soul which then his soul responded transforming the mere drop of blood into something else entirely.

In the top most floor of the Babel tower, the towering structure looming over the entire city housing the most powerful familia goddess in Orario's.

"Are you really fine with this my lady."

Ottar who's said to be the strongest adventurer in Orario asked in a respectful tone.

His usual overbearing attitude was nowhere to be seen when it comes to the goddess reclining on her regal armchair, legs crossed a glass of red wine on her hand as she watches the Familia blessing of Kai take place.

"He is supposed to be my husband not my child so this is natural."

Freya paused on her words, she squinted her eyes elegantly the moment Hestia touched Kai's back.

/Tsk!/ - Freya reacted.

"I'll be lying if I say I feel no jealousy towards Hestia as she's the very first goddess who lay her hands on my man's body."

She said trying to hide her true feelings.

"S-she…"

Freya saw Hestia's hand tracing through Kai's sculpted masculine back.

Freya grab the handkerchief from the table, gritting her teeth biting the said unfortunate or should be said fortunate handkerchief as she observed the ritual taking place her eyes glued to Hestia's hand tracing through Kai's back.

Ottar on the side was grinning from ear to ear to his goddess's plight.

Freya eyes still glued to the scene in the private room opted for a candidly express of displeasure.

She pouted like a little girl seeing how Hestia freely trace Kai's body as if she own it. (Freya's own imagination)

On the side Ottar fell to his knees.

He quickly stood up trying to regain his lost dignity as a man suppressing his subconscious desire to just kneel there on the spot and worship Freya's charming expression.

The young girls working as attendants were getting work up on the corner of the room trying to hide their giggles watching the strongest man in all of Orario act like a fan boy towards their goddess and to their patron goddess who acted like a little girl who has her candy stolen from her.

Hestia done updating Kai's status had tears flowing from her eyes like a waterfall.

"How can you be so harsh to yourself…" – Hestia said, placing her head on Kai's back.

The blessing of the gods work like a prerecorded memory, where every time they update their childrens status they will be given the opportunity to see and experience the most profound moments of their children's life.

"You don't need to waste your tears on me my goddess." – Kai said reassuring Hestia.

"B-but…" – Hestia was reluctant after what she saw.

"What you see are nothing but memories of my past. It's ok to feel bad about it but what's done is done the past cannot be redone, I will live the day carrying the memories of my past. It might be cruel to myself and it's self destructive but this is just who I am, I don't want to act differently than what I am supposed to be…" – He said a pure gentle smile on his otherworldly face.

She can even feel her heart beating loudly.

'N-no, no I already have Bell it isn't good to be greedy.' – Hestia thought.

IF kai were to know of his goddess thought he might have face palmed.

He did not know what Hestia saw but based on her reaction she must have seen the most sad and painful moments of his previous life.

One of the experiences Hestia saw was the moment when Kai was alone in the mountains at a young age training himself in different ways.

Waking up 4 in the morning climbing the top of the mountain before sunrise, then after reaching the top he would then descend the mountain using another path where a multitude of deadly traps were laid for him.

He had also sealed his memory about when he placed the traps so to not cheat his own training.

This is just one of the multitude of cruel experiences Hestia saw.

However, what really impacted her greatly was Kai facing the whole world on his own just to find a cure for his friend but in the end he failed so he sacrifice his own life to save his dying friend's/lover's life.

In one thought she might not look at his actions favorably but the WILL and INTENT he has during those times open up Hestia narrow minded perspective of the world.

Moreover, it isn't like he cause the chaos indiscriminately and intentionally, the people that were just caught in the crossfire, it was their bad luck.

Furthermore, the remorse he feels during those times of peril for the innocent cannot be ignored, the remorse that eats him on the inside resulting for him to end up in a worse state than what it should be.

He is someone who should be called a true demon king, a being who wouldn't hesitate in fighting the whole world for the people he cared about.

Even she a goddess who had lived for eons knew how naïve she was when it comes to the cruelty of the world.

She always believes the world is a wonderful and colorful place shamelessly ignoring the truth of how unfair and cruel it was.

But now…

Hestia had found her real motivation and how she planned to move her Familia from her onwards.
