41 A Confusion

As Jeho was already near, she watched him cup her right cheek with his left hand and said, "Your dream is nothing but a dream and what happened in real life really did happen. You do not need to confuse both, Hong Mina."

Mina was about to say something but could not find the right words to say, so she just closed her mouth.

A moment of silence passed by. And as Mina could finally find the right words to say, she asked, "Then, what are you?"

"Me?" Jeho pointed himself, using his index finger to look innocent. "Well, I am just an incubus who feeds on sexual energies."

"W-what did you just say?" Mina could not believe her ears for the nth time already.

"As you can see, I am a demon," Jeho tried to explain to Mina calmly, but she could not comprehend anything at all. It was as if her brain turned white. She was just staring at him blankly, "An incubus feeds on the sexual energy of a woman."

"I know!" Mina became frantic. Fear was not evident in her eyes. The wings that came out from his back ruined his clothes; it was on the ground. "I know what an incubus is! B-but do they exist?"

"Yes," Jeho nodded, this time pointing his face. "Right in front of you."

Mina deeply inhaled and exhaled. She refused to believe what she saw. Even though Jeho was already shirtless, with his horns and pair of wings on full display, she just could not believe it.

And she refused to do so.

Like maybe, Kim Jeho was losing his mind.

Maybe, he was just speaking nonsense.

On a normal day from their first script reading and his work as someone who manages me, isn't it too much that the next thing he was about to do was to tell me he's an incubus?

What are the chances of that happening?

Too low!

"Ha. Haha. Hahahahahahaha." Mina started laughing and started clapping her hands. "This is a prank, right?" She tried to look around and went towards the door. "There must be a cameraman here, out of nowhere."

It must be it.

Suppose this was a prank when she was pranked big time. She started not to care and just wanted themselves to reveal it.

For her, it was not a fun prank at all!

The door suddenly closed by itself, and Mina snapped back to reality.

"Is this your first time encountering one?" Jeho turned around and flapped his wings, approaching Mina at the speed of light. "Are you still doubtful that I am one? Do you want me to show you?"

Their faces became so close. Mina could see his eyes glowing in red, those same pair of eyes that she saw every time.

"B-but how?" Her voice shivered, and Mina's pupils dilated as it focused on what was in front of her. The moonlight coming from the windows was their only source of light.

"You'll know it soon," Jeho answered, and before she could say something, the lights in her eyes suddenly turned black.

Breathing heavily, Mina opened her eyes. Looking around, she was in the same dark room. It seemed like there were paintings, even a grandfather clock near the door, and the wall looked like it was painted in beige color. She realized that she was still in the same room that Jeho brought her in.

Ah, yes, it was Kim Jeho's abode.

A familiar-looking man was in front of her; upon inspecting closely, it was Kim Jeho. He was half-naked, but she could see those weird things and stopped claiming he was an incubus.

It was just a dream, after all.

As Mina sat up, Jeho approached her and gave her a glass of water.

"I think my revelation shocked you too much, Hong Mina," Jeho said as he gave her the glass of water and said, "Maybe I showed you too much of me, sweetheart."

If it were a typical day, Mina would definitely tell him not to call her a sweetheart. But because everything was too much for her, she decided to let it slide and smiled.

Receiving the glass of water Jeho gave to her, a sigh of relief escaped through her mouth as she finished everything in one shot.

"Alexa. Turn on the lights." And after Jeho spoke those words, the lights illuminated in no time. It did not look as scary as before. "My sweetheart became so shocked with me going shirtless,"

Yes, she just had a dream earlier, after all.

An awful dream.

Jeho grabbed the glass of water from her and smiled. "You must be fine now, Hong Mina. I think I have given you plenty and enough time to process everything."

"W-wait, what do you mean?" Mina became nervous as her eyes traveled in the room. She laid her eyes on the torn pieces of what seemed like a long-sleeved sweater.

A realization came to Mina's mind.

And it was that fact that she did not have a dream earlier, and not even now.

Everything was real.

Mina became numb and did not know what to do anymore.

She was just an aspiring actress who wanted to become a top star, signed a contract with her college senior, who used to be a film director nerd but became a hunky CEO in just a matter of years.

Though Mina did not expect a typical everyday life out of her career as an actress, she did not even expect this to happen.

Mina knew that her life won't ever be normal when she proposed a contract with Kim Jeho. She expected her life to be a story filled with bantering and make-out sessions, but why did it suddenly become dark and suspenseful and thriller?

If Jeho was really a demon who feeds on sexual energy, then is that the reason why she has slept with several women?

And does that mean she will become one of those?

"You are going to be special, Hong Mina," Jeho spoke as if he was able to read his mind, showing his horns and pair of wings like it was the most normal thing on Earth. "You are not like other women I have encountered before and with that contract that bonded us together, there is no way for you to back down."
