10 chapter ten:the apology
Monica's POV
I sat in my room and stared at my plans,that was sealing the Chinese deal but that I still had to do with the Korean,and then the second company,there was so much to do and I only had six months,the second company was bigger than the first,I would love to change something but it had its own board of directors and I needed them all to approve of me,thank God I have six months,or at least less than six months now,I heard a soft knock
"come in"I shouted
Liam came in wearing only a t- shirt and shorts,he looked so hot ....it definitely should be illegal to be this damn hot,his black hair was a sexy mess and he stared at me with immerse green eyes I could swear could glow in the dark.....did being rich have anything to do with being a sexy beast because Liam was....its so unfair he's so perfect,I forced my mind to remain calm and go back to the topic at hand
"I heard" he said
"about what?"
"the CEO and the representative you dealt with today"
"oh" I gripped my hand
Liam came over and looked at me gently.....calmly but awkwardly,he held my hand
"I didnt know.....you should have told me"he said
"there was no time"I looked away
"I'll deal with them....I promise"
I looked at him finally
"why?"
"why what?"
"why did you change?....why are you so nice to me so suddenly,you hated me the first time you saw me,you hated me even on our wedding day but suddenly you just changed,why are you so nice,is it a trap?"
he laughed
"actually when we first me,forgive me but am a very calculatng man,I believed you and your father were trying to use this deal to your advantage,I thought what the heck is 14 billion compared to marrying the richest man alive,I believed it was a trick"
"you are unbelievably narcissistic.....did you still think it was a trick even when I made the deal at your office?"I raised an eyebrow at him
"well,I believed you were playing mind games.....trying to seem like you didn't want me when infact you did.....I seriously started to doubt myself when I realised you didn't want to be with me at all during the honey moon,I thought you would try to make me fall in love with you,after all you are very pretty and should know how to get men...but you ignored me totally and around me you never bothered to dress temptingly...I realised you truly had no interest in me or my money,you really wanted me gone.....so I did the background check on you and found out what happened to your father,I felt like a dougebag...so I decided since we were both forced into this situation,we shouldn't let this pronounce our relationship,we could be friends"
"thanks Liam"
"I think that is the first time you have ever called me my name to my face"he grinned
"really"I thought and laughed"Liam,I need your help....can you give me updates about the board of directors of the movie production company in Korea?"
"yeah sure,its in my room...come on"
I followed Liam to his room,it was white and huge but books were everywhere,he had selves of books in his room
"there should be a library in this house right?" I said
"there is,those aren't just books...they are personal informations,about most people I work with...and business files and so many important things,that is why they are in my room and no one is allowed in here except for my most trusted maid"
"we are only gonna be married for six months,aren't you scared I'll steal some of this stuff"
"not really"he shrugged
"so where are the documents I want?"
"its labeled,probably on the top shelf"
I walked there and it was on the top shelf but I couldn't reach it,I stood on tiptoe but still couldn't
"arrrgh"I almost shouted,just as I was about to turn to look at Liam and ask for help I felt a body pressed behind mine.....his scent hit me,fresh and seductive.....his bare arms streched to pull out the file,I was ever so stiff.....he looked down and I looked up and we froze...I could swear I felt electricity all around us....he stepped back since he was the one towering me
"sorry about that"he said as he tossed me the documents
"yeah...no problem"I said as I hurried out of his room,as I entered my room,I locked the door and flew on my bed,my hand on my pounding heart....what the heck is happening to me?
still trying to get my mind in order I heard another knock,I walked to the door and opened it and saw Liam
"need something?"
"I...
he was cut short as his phone rang,he picked it
"hello mum.....I don't know?...surprise?...shes right here...mum,no...no...okay,jeez.....ive heard you mum....send it to my office,...I'll sign for it,...I don't know if she will like it(so am guessing they are talking about me,but I probably shouldn't bring up the topic incase its a surprise)....okay,I'll tell her.....I love you too...(suddenly he turned all red,I wonder what his mother asked).....of course not,we haven't.....mum,good bye,okay.."he hurriedly ended the call and was looking so red it was cute
he looked at my laughing face
"what?"he asked ,embarrassed
"nothing,I think its cute you still say I love you too mum"I smiled
he rolled his eyes adorably
"she wants us for dinner on Saturday,before dad goes for his operation...you in?"
"of course"
then he went away,it was only after I closed my door that I realized he never told me what he came for before his mother called....for some reason my heart was pounding,I shook my head and went through the documents
liam's POV
I can't believe mum asked if I've slept with her!!...and to top it off she doesn't seem to realise she was wearing only a short gown which stopped half way through her laps and the back was bare,she probably wasn't expecting me to come and had forgotten to be self conscious about it...but my mind was in a haze,and when my body touched her back at my room,thank God for my self control...I was going insane,what the heck...I have never felt this way.....thank God my mother called because when I got to her room,I wasn't thinking anymore...I was about to drag her in a kiss and let my hands explore that tantalizing bare back and her laps....I hit my head,am so stupid.....am sure she would have slapped me away.....but for a second there I could swear even her felt the electricity
I forced my mind off it,mother said she saw some limited type jewelries and wanted to order them for Monica,she wanted to know if she would like it....but how should I know,she barely wore jewelries,heck she barely wore make up...I asked it to be delivered to my office,I'll sign for it and give her
I forced my mind on work but monica and her tiny gown kept coming back....finally,I took a cold shower....a very very cold shower
