19 31. Her blood boiled

It had been three days since Mo Jia set foot in the Yuan Zheng palace. The palace had become quite noisy with her picking fights with maids.

Lu Chang Chang was trying her best to control her anger these days.

Mo Ting Xiao was also getting annoyed with Mo Jia's behaviour. He held himself back for two reasons. First, she was a distant relative. Second, she was a girl.

He would never raise his hand against a woman. It was against the morals he was taught by his mother.

It was afternoon and Lu Chang Chang was back from work earlier than usual. She casually sat in the veranda and was reading a book while sipping tea so that she doesn't think of Mo Jia.

The weather was quite pleasant. Soon the first showers would start. The chirping of birds could be heard. This atmosphere was her favourite.

While taking a sip from her cup, she heard hurried footsteps coming her way. She looked up and saw a man running towards her.

Liu Chen came running and stood in front of her while panting heavily." I.. Please forgive my intrusion Your Highness..", he said with a bow.

From what Lu Chang Chang had learnt while staying in the Yuan Zheng palace, Liu Chen wasn't a man who easily lost his composure. If he did, it would only mean that it was important.

" It's okay… Relax… Take a deep breath…", Lu Chang Chang said calmly. He placed his hand on his chest to calm himself a bit.

" Your Highness… Miss Mo is falsely accusing Chu Chu and punishing her… Only you can save her… Please….", he said after a few seconds.

Lu Chang Chang was on her feet the instant she heard Chu Chu was being harassed.

" Take me there.", she commanded. Liu Chen quickly started walking while guiding Lu Chang Chang.

They walked towards Mo Ting Xiao's private study.

Mo Ting Xiao's private study was a bit away from their resting homes. No one other than Liu Chen and Li Sing Tan were permitted entrance.

Even though Lu Chang Chang was quite curious, she never walked in because she respected his privacy. But what she didn't know was that Mo Ting Xiao had already given her the permission to walk in at any time.

There was a group of maids standing at the entrance of his study. They were all looking at something that was going on in the middle.

When they heard footsteps behind them, they all turned. When they saw Lu Chang Chang, they immediately made way for her and bowed in respect.

The sight she saw made her blood boil.

Chu Chu was forced to kneel on the ground. Tears were rolling down her cheeks and her left cheek was red and slightly swollen.

Mo Jia was standing in front of her and cursing at her. Behind her, her handmaid stood with a evil smirk.

" What is happening here??", Lu Chang Chang asked in a loud voice.

Mo Jia hadn't seen Lu Chang Chang and was startled when she suddenly heard a loud voice. For a split second she thought that it was Mo Ting Xiao and the thought scared her.

She was acting all bossy only because she had seen Mo Ting Xiao leave with Li Sing Tan.

She swiftly turned her head and saw Lu Chang Chang look at her with a aloof face. Though she was relieved that it was not Mo Ting Xiao, but seeing Lu Chang Chang still made her feel a bit worried.

There was a dark aura formed around Lu Chang Chang when she saw Chu Chu on the ground. This sent shivers down the spine of every single person standing there.

The maids were shocked because they had never seen her angry, let alone this angry.

Not only the maids but two other people were stunned too.

Mo Ting Xiao and Li Sing Tan had returned just a while back and they saw Mo Jia curse at Chu Chu. They were about to walk there but they stopped when they saw Lu Chang Chang standing there looking like she was about to kill someone.

Anger was an expression they had never seen on her face. She was a very calm and patient person and could control her temper very well unlike Mo Ting Xiao.

If she was this angry, it could only mean that the person had crossed all of her limits.
