17. Little sister

Then she turned around and noticed that the girl had passed out out of fear. The girls clothes were dishevelled and ripped. Her milky skin had bruises and mud over it.

She went and carried the frail thing and went back to her house. " Master!!..", she yelled when she reached outside the house. A man in his fifties with grey hair walked out and said," What happened brat??".

That's when his eyes landed on the girl in her arms." Bring her in!!", he immediately said with a serious expression. Lu Chang Chang laid her on her bed and decided to wait till she gets up. She woke up screaming after a while.

Both of them rushed in. When the girl saw the both of them she moved to the edge of the bed in fright. She hugged her knees and bent her head in fear. Seeing the condition in which the girl was in, Lu Chang Chang took short steps towards her and spoke softly.

" Shh.. Little sister.. Big sister is only here to help you… No one will hurt you.. Hmmm... Old uncle is also here to treat you.. I will not let anyone touch you.. Hmmm.. Don't cry… Come here", she spoke and opened her arms as if to embrace her.

The girl felt reassured in her words and rushed and hugged her. She started sobbing badly on her shoulder. Lu Chang Chang just let her cry her heart out and gently patted her back. After a while the girl stopped crying and pulled out. Her eyes had become puffy and red because of crying and so was her nose. Lu Chang Chang gently tucked the strands of hair that were on her face behind her ear.

Her master who was standing and watching the scene behind could only smile sadly. The girl was so mature for her age. He thought.

" Little girl what is your name?? Where are you from??", Lu Chang Chang asked softly." I don't remember where I am from.. *sniff* I only remember that my name is Ting Ting… When I try to remember something my head pains.. *sniff*", she replied while sniffing in a hoarse voice.

Lu Chang Chang, was surprised. She looked at the girl and said," Little one… Can you give me your hand so that I can take your pulse…". The girl extended her hand towards her obediently. She took it and checked her pulse.

After a few seconds she spoke," Master I think she has been drugged with a memory erasing drug.." The man who was just standing aside stepped forward and took the girls hand and checked her pulse.

" You are indeed right old brat.. I have taught you well…", the man replied. Lu Chang Chang, felt extremely sorry for the girl. Not only was use tortured but she ended up in such a deep forest.

The Yongning forest was considered one of the most impenetrable forests in Zodiac land. Only very few well trained people could get out of the place alive. Most of the people who had gone in were never seen again. This made the forest known as The Cursed Forest. People thought that the curse came in the form of a ghost and killed those who were in it.

" Take a bath and freshen up. You can wear my clothes which you will find in that shelf *points finger* for now. I'll help you get some clothes for yourself. Call me if you need anything. I'll be outside. Hmm??..", she said. Ting Ting nodded her head in agreement.

Lu Chang Chang smiled and patted her head softly and said," Cute". She then walked out of her room following her master. She softly shut the door and after making sure that the girl had gone in to freshen up.

She then saw her master sitting in the garden. She walked over. He gestured her to sit. She sat and narrated the incident. She then pulled out the locket from her waist band and handed it to him and said," The people who attacked didn't look like they were from here… This locket was on one of them…"

He took the locket and started examining it. He raised and held it such that it blocked the sun." Hmm.. This is from the Yang Yu Clique…", he said while stroking his beard. Lu Chang Chang's eyes widened in shock.

" Yang Yu??", she muttered in shock.
