1 Chapter 1-Beginning of a Hero

My name is Arstol Hamelite. I am just an ordinary villager who is working in a nearby paddy field. But that is gonna change soon.

Today, I set out to change my life and become an adventurer. It's a much cooler job and I adore them since I was a child. I want to realize my dreams. Plus, if i become an adventurer, I have a chance to pick up the ladies *wink*.

Enough blabbing around, if I keep blabbing, I won't become an adventurer anytime soon!

I got out from bed and had breakfast and gonna go out. "Oh my, Arstol, you're up early" my mom said. "I'm going out now mom, send my regards to Dad" "Ok, becareful on your way out" She says while waving.

Ahhhh, the view of the village. I wasn't very big but it's all peaceful and relaxing. The view of the green mountains far ahead from my village, and the large bed of lavender decorates the view of my village. My village is located in the country of Gandemind.

In order to become an adventurer, I must go to my village's Adventurers Union Center and take the Adventurer's Placement Exam. When I pass the exam, I will officially and legally be an adventurer in this whole continent of Soryce.

Finally, I'm at the Adventurers Union Center, I have already registered as an exam candidate. As I waited, each second my nervousness increases. They say that the exam is quite hard, but I have come this far, I have to do it for my dreams!

After some time, something caught my eye. The person infront of me kinda seemed familiar... As I inch closer to get a good look, the person sitting infront of me turned around at me.

"Arstol?" he said. "Oh my what a coincedence Ky!". Ky Gorol, the same age as me, he was my childhood friend. I remember the childhood times with Ky. We always roleplayed as adventurers, going into the forest and getting in trouble by our parents. Good times.

"I never thought I would meet you here Ky!". "Me too! Are you here to take the placement exam too?". "Of course, it was my dream to become an adventurer!" I said so full of enthusiasm. "Hey, do you remember when---". Our conversation got cut off as our turns are up. MAN I'M SO NERVOUS. "Well, looks like it's our turn, good luck Arstol!" while giving a thumbs up. "You too Ky!". Me,Ky and all the other people whose turns are up are entering the exam room. This exam will determine my hopes and dreams. Let the exam begin!
