4 And Scene

The scene changes and I'm back to the little girl on the swings but she's hung herself, knees dangling, a once pure black face now blue, and filled with pain, and sadness. All the happiness that I could assume once took home in her eyes, condemned. There was a breeze. Causing her body to sway slowly, along with the rest of the swings, squeaking nimbly, silence. The silence pierced into me like a thousand needles. I ran again, to where? Where was I running? When I finally stopped, a scene changed. I was in a house, that was empty. Candles light filled a room that looked molded smelt of dust. A computer sits on a desk, but no one is there to peck at the keys, yet, words were being typed over and over -

"As you gaze into the abyss, the abyss also gazes into you." I stared and the room swirled around me. At once, I was standing at the edge of a deep black hole, that couldn't have been anything but the abyss. I gazed, so subtly, whispering light words into it, listening to my words echo against the circular walls.

"Death is just an anesthetic for what's to come. A body left with no face, all alone they cry here, at the bottom of what was thought to be a bottomless pit. Bones, bleached in the darkness of which that monster came, and then a silence, like sitting alone, watching a burning flame." My voice seemed to sing the words, like a lullaby.

Darkness seemed to chortle wickedly at me. My knees didn't fail to buckle. And I fell. Where did I fall? Into the bottomless pit.

The sun didn't break the night again. Locked inside a darkened horror, everytime I shut my eyes I see the gruesome murders of others. I must be more than a little credulous because I thought I had some sliver of hope.

Perhaps the only hope you can have in this world is yourself. To have thought that when there is dusk, you have to find that break of dawn where the sun is just by the horizon, and when you get broken down, look into your own eyes and face your demons. Because, after all that time of austere, you will have to find something or someone that will irradiate you're horrific darkness.

"The world is full of studious people looking for happiness, while they snub contentment."
