14 Caesar's Diary

I walked towards the dead bodies in order to burn them and was prepared for my death but , it began raining . My skin was tingling and soon my skin began melting slowly . It was an acid rain . Due to heavy industrialization and sulphur emission our environment was degrading and it caused an acid rain . Till then I had no idea that the rain was a boon for us . I ran and hid under a tree after few minutes the rain went away and I burned the dead bodies . I didn't got infected . Later on researchers said that the virus can be killed with acid . Most of the city was cleaned due to the acid rain . A barrier was put forth the city that filtered the air before entering to the city . All the dead bodies were burnt and soon our city got free from virus . It was named as the eden city .

After few months almost all the cities around us had perished . They tried to build protection and suits but they weren't as lucky as us . They never had an acid rain .

I stopped working as a graveyard digger and joined as a soldier . Although my fighting skills were great I never made it up in the ranks ,cause I belonged to a lower sect . I took my mothers care and we shifted to place in city . Soon I found a girl who used to sell flowers . I used to visit her shop often . The smell of her flowers reminded me of my childhood . Soon we became acquainted with each other and got married .

One day the royal family summoned all the soldiers and informed us about a fight against the rebellion . People were rebelling against discrimination . They wanted to change the sect based division and wanted a reformed society . They revolted against the aristocrats . They demanded for equal rights .The king ordered us to kill the rebellions in night . They were the lower sect peoples living with us . A few of our soldiers decided to go up against the tyranny . I was with them . We didn't want to kill our brethren just for money . They said be loyal to the king . Is massacring our own people at night a sign of loyality . We decided to inform our people beforehand . We went on ahead but as we reached , we saw our houses burning . There was a traitor among us . Now the king Knew that we didn't followed his order .

I ran to my home , my wife had just given birth to a child . I along with my mother wife and child left our place and went to the mining tunnels . Most of the lower sect people were going that way . They had heard about an underground city free from virus . As we proceeded towards the entry gates we were ambushed by soldiers . They began firing at us indiscriminately . We somehow escaped them . I killed as many as I could with my bare hands . We got loaded on a goods train along with other lower sect people .After few hours we almost reached the underground city but the train stopped .I went out to find if something was wrong . The surrounding was clear . I went to the front front part of the train to find some food . As I returned to the back cabin of the train , I saw that my wife and mother were murdered . I got blank had no idea what to do . There were some soldiers hidden in train and they killed most of the people . As I was loosing my control over my head ,I heard cries . it was my daughter . My little daughter had survived . I took her and ran away from there .Later on I found out that they had spread some kind of insomnic pathogen inside the train and my daughter was affected by it . As she grew older she began sleeping more and more and one day she went in coma …

(Outside the hospital)

Cesar was lying on ground , most of his bones were bent and he could hardly move . The mutant was just in-front him . It heard some sound and it looked back .

" Ooh its such a mess " spoke Drek . He was walking towards the hospital . His metallic legs were making huge sound , enough to be heard by anyone .

His whole body was replaced with metallic parts . He almost looked like a robot from a distance . He spoke as he walked towards the mutant " You kinda look familiar , do I know you ?"

Mutant : - " Yes of course commander . I used to work for the organization once . Its been so long . I really was waiting for you . I was wondering where was our commander amid the chaos "

Drek :-" Well well , you see I have been quite busy lately with some political stuff . It seems you have damaged this place quite a bit . And all this bodies of soldiers and fishkers ,is it your work "

Drek was analyzing the the mutant infront of him . His eyes were integrated with lense and software that alow him to analyze opponents strength . The analysis was based upon a persons bone and muscle density , reaction time . The unit was 'rack' . A normal human being measures around 50 rack .If the person had a good body and exercises daily then he can reach upto 100 rack . Cesar's strength was around 200 rack due to his highly trained body and metallic skeleton .

But the stats of the mutant was skyrocketing ,it was well over 400 rack . Drek decided at once that he has to kill the mutant that too quickly . He had never seen someone with this much of strength and agility .

He took his stance for fighting . Raised his arms and fiered multiple gun shots from his hands . The mutants dodged most of the bullet and the ones that hit him didn't caused much of a damage .

Drek even had small embedded misiles in his body but he couldn't fire them in presence of other injured soldiers and Caesar . The mutant was too agile for him to make a clear hit .

They kept on attacking eachother . And it went on for a while . Cesar was slowly losing his consciousness . His body has taken too much damage . He was thinking about his past times , all he has ever wanted was revenge . Revenge from the people who hurt him and took his loved one . But beside that there was something else too . He never wanted anyone else to suffer just as he did . He muttered in a low voice " Is this the end of my capability , all these years of training was worthless ?, I can't save my daughter from a single mutant . Anyway all this is my fault . I will have to make things right even if I had to throw away my life ."

Caesar got up and dashed towards the mutant . Drek was firing towards him continuously . Cesar got hit by a few bullets but managed to hold the mutant from back . Dreak stopped firing .

Cesar shouted " fire now take us both down . Use your best laser ."The mutant was hitting Cesar with his eldow but Caesar didn't leave him "

Drek hesitated for a moment but he knew this fight should end now . He knew right away that Cesar was signaling him to kill the mutant with him . He is ready to sacrifice himself for it . Drek stepped forward and kept his positioned his palm in front of the mutants chest . In an instant he shooted the laser and it created a hole in the mutants heart along with Caesar's . Both of them dropped down . Drek jumped to hold Cesar . He was hardly breathing . Cesar looked at Drek and smiled as he took his last breath . Drek wanted to cry . This was for the first time that he had regretted of not having his human body .

Zet and Shino arrived along with Neo in the vehicle . Shino rushed Neo to the hospital . Zet walked up towards Drek and saw Cesar's body in his hand . Zet got quite , closed his eyes and prayed for his soul to rest .

He didn't disturbed Drek and went back to the vehicle . There was still a task remaining . He had to restart the ventillators that provide the underground city with oxygen.

Drek sat near Cesar's body and kept thinking about his initial days . Drek had few machinery installed in his body . He met Cesar for the first time when he was searching for people to form the FISHKERS organization . The city wasn't built properly that time . People were digging tunnels in order to make space to live under ground . Drek saw a person digging the ground only with a shovel .That person was Cesar . The ground was hard as rock . Peoples were using dynamites and axes but this guy infront of him was digging the tunnel with only a shovel . The shovel was getting blunt with his every strike . Definitely the guy was strong but he was wasting most of his strength by using a blunt shovel instead of mining axe .

Drek stopped him and spoke , " You are just wasting your energy ,in this way you will beat down your body and wont achive much of a progress , why don't you use an Axe at least ".

Cesar spoke in a deep voice " didn't had money to buy one ". Then he continued his digging . Cesar spoke with a smile " Well I have a job offer for you . You see we are going to form an organization for this city . In order to protect people from attacks and bullying we will form fishkers organization . "

Cesar turned towards him and spoke " will you pay enough to have three times meal a day for two persons ."

Drek laughed loudly and spoke " I will pay enough to have 6 times meals for six elephnats . Listen young man I want to create a city free from misery . People would have plenty of food to eat and clothes to wear "

Cesar :- " And in that world would every human be treated equally ?"

Drek answered in a calm voice " Yes , yes of course "

After that time Drek and Cesar worked together to build the organization . Then they built cities and hospitals . Cesar would train all day long . He was gifted with a great physic .He never feared any enemy neither had any complaint about his life . His only wish was to see his daughter getting well . Drek had always supported him as his younger brother . It was really painful for him to see him passing away .

Zet reached the central department of fishkers organization . The department was completely destroyed by the blast done by Kraken . Zet went to the parking area ,luckily his bike was in good condition . He got on it without a suit as he was prone to the virus and got to the surface . He drove fast towards the ventilator system .

He began thinking on his way " I have very less amount of time remaining . Very soon the oxygen in the underground city will end up. I will have to avoid fighting with mutants for now and will have focus on restarting the ventilator system .According to the information given up by Kraken there would be nine mutants remaining ."

To his surprise he encountered no mutants on his path . There was one near the ventilator system but it took him just one punch to the heart to defeat him .The mutant didn't even got time to react .After that Zet walked straight to the ventilator control system and restarted it . As it started successfully Zet began retreating . As he was about to start his bike , he began feeling dizzy and fell down .
