6 Chapter 6: The future of the village

That same night my sisters and I celebrated my victory. Although I expected to win as I had planned, luckily I thought of a solution in case of failure.

My plan came about thanks to the knowledge that I have acquired through my power. In this knowledge explained the history and myth, the truth I do not know if it is true of a certain person named David which fought against a giant called Goliath. Although on this continent there are stories about giants, in my new knowledge the giants are considered creatures of mythology. Well, going back to the subject in the original story, David used a sling to throw the stones at Goliath, in that way I managed to defeat him. In this case, he did not believe in defeating Haiden by just throwing a rock at his head. Also during the fight is not allowed to bring weapons, and therefore I had to investigate a way to win with this method but applying it to my situation. In the end it occurred to me first to hit areas of the body where a blow generated a great pain, I chose the shin of the foot, the groin and finally the forehead. Although in the end I had to resort to throwing him on the ground and the back of his head hitting the ground with enough force to knock him unconscious. Another concept that helped me was learning that a greater object is given a higher velocity is the impact force it has. If I think about it, this phenomenon occurs with bows and arrows, I always thought that these caused damage by the metal tip of the arrows. I believe that this knowledge will serve me in the future.

-Brother now that we will do- Aria asked me getting out of my thoughts.

-Well, tomorrow there will be a council meeting to officially take control of the village, then we will discuss what we will do in the future-

-and what about the war- Ellen joined the conversation. On the other hand Nao was eating distracted from our conversation.

-don't worry about that, I will make sure that the village is left out of the war- I answered them with courage since that was my main goal for the council meeting tomorrow. Although the chief of the tribe has absolute power over the village, there still has to be an agreement between the chief and the council.

-well let's leave the serious topics for later and eat the food to cool-as always Ellen tries to relax the atmosphere.

After dinner, we went to sleep. The next morning, we got up and my sisters prepared breakfast while I went to collect water to the stream.

After finishing eating, my sisters were doing their homework unlike Nao who went to play with other girls from the village.

I went to El Yoru's cabin. Normally the head of the village would have a larger cabin than the rest of the inhabitants, but since this case is something special, we would still hold the council meetings at Yoru's house. When they entered, everyone was there, including Haiden, who seemed to have no injury or sign of having fought the previous day, as expected from the strongest warrior in the village.

-well since we are all, as the current leader of the tribe I name you Aren new leader of the village- Yoru declared this while giving me a bracelet made of bronze with decorations. This was the chief symbol of the village.

-Well, as we conclude with the ceremonial part, we have to discuss the future plan that we will do with respect to the war- after commenting this Yoru sat down in the middle of Mors and Haiden. I sat in front of the three, I'm a little nervous about this but I can not express this, I have to prove to be a worthy boss.

-well then as you mentioned days ago, Aren you have planned to involve the village in the war- Mors was the first to ask.

-that is, I do not want the village to suffer again due to a conflict that does not concern us-

-But you know, even if we do not participate, we will be dragged in some way- this time it was Haiden who spoke.

-This is Aren, you do not know it but in the previous war, there were several villages and tribes that decided not to participate, and in the end the villages that did not belong to any of the main villages involved in the war, decided to attack these villages and they subjugated them, while the main villages did not help these villages and they did not let the other villages help them either- Yoru explained this to me, which I did not know. Well anyway I already had a plan that also solves this problem.

-Despite this I already had a plan designed for the village and can even solve this problem-

-and what is that plan- again it was Mors to speak first.

- since at least for about 20 days there will be no battle as the main villages prepare for war and then surely they will be almost the same number of days or more performing simple skirmishes until the rest of their ally and vassals are prepared. I think we have enough time to make my plan-

-But what is that plan- now it was Haiden who spoke.

-Well ... I plan to move the village from place ... - before I could continue Haiden interrupted me.

-move??-

-explain better Aren-Mors also speak, only Yoru was the one who remained silent listening.

-yes, I was thinking to take the whole idea out of the prairies and form a new village in the region of the rivers to be more exact I want to form the new village at the foot of the Pleiades mountains-

- in the Pleiades - both Haiden and Mors asked.

-yes, that's my plan, when leaving the prairies we will not have to worry about a possible attack from another village. Since the Pleiades is far enough away from the populated areas of the prairies, no tribe or village will want a territory away from its main base. In addition we will not be so far from the prairie as not to take advantage of their resources and even more than in the area where we will settle, we will have at our disposal a large amount of resources at our disposal. In this way we will not have to depend so much on the merchants to supply us with metals and other resources - I expose my plans and thoughts to all three.

- ... on the one hand you're right but ... - Mors was going to continue talking but Haiden interrupted him.

-If we move, it will take at least 15 days to reach the region of the western rivers and then a couple of more days until we find the right place to settle. During that time we will have to feed all the members of the tribe, and I am not sure how much longer after installing us will last the supplies we carry until we can secure a source of food- Haiden went ahead to Mors in expressing his doubts that It seemed they were the same as Mors.

-for this problem I have a solution, I was thinking of selling our copper and tin stocks, and with what we have gained, we buy wheat and other food from merchants or from the villages themselves-

-WARD !!! ... but if we sell our metals we will not have to make bronze to make weapons and other objects- Mors was the most exalted because of my comment. Since he is the one in charge of the forge of the village.

In this continent the work of metals has not evolved as in my new knowledge, in the meadows and mountains Altaria copper abounds, as far as tin is provided by the merchants of the steppes of the east and those who come from the archipelagos of the western sea that arrive thanks to the rivers of the western region. With them almost all settlements on the continent produce bronze as metal has been used. In my new memories, I know that the humanity described in the memories had the problem of quantity of copper and tin, for that reason they looked for new metals to work with. In the end, you started using iron that was more abundant and had better physical characteristics than bronze. In spite of having copper and tin to make bronze, I know that if we make weapons and iron objects, these will be much better than those made of bronze. And the Pleiades mountains are almost literally made of wounds and other metals. This I discovered thanks to the description of the minimap of my power. But I'm not thinking about staying in using only iron.

-Quiet Mors do not exalt that sure Aren has something planned-for the first time Yoru intervenes in the meeting. Mors calmed down at Yoru's words. I was surprised that Haiden did not claim as much as Mors.

-If I have a plan ... I really do not know how to explain this but I know that in the Pleiades we can find veins of ore to obtain metals-

-and as you know that- Haiden asked.

-I really do not know how to tell you this but ... -

-Although I believe in Aren, he is our boss and we have to trust him and follow his orders- Yoru interrupted me before speaking. The truth freed me from having to explain my power to the rest. I do not want to reveal it to others since I do not know how they would react.

- ... - Mors and Haiden did not speak they were thoughtful, then looked into each other's eyes.

-ah ... we'll trust you Aren- again Haiden was the one who surprised me when he spoke, it was as if he did not care that I was the new head of the village, mmm ... I'll have to ask him later the reason for his actions.

-you will trust you- Mors also expressed his decision.

-Well then we will do what Aren-Yoru planned to close the issue.

After discussing minor matters. We organize how the plan would be. First we would send a messenger to nearby villages and tribes to ask if they are willing to buy copper and tin. We decided that we would buy the grain from the merchants because if we did it from the rest of the populations of the prairies they would suspect, and we do not want to attract attention, we would be an easy target during our trip.

Luckily, thanks to the minimap, I saw that a group of merchants were going to our village and that they would arrive in 3 or 4 days. By then we already had enough money to buy the grain. The coins used were silver and gold, as in my new memories these metals are not so abundant and because of their appearance people use it as a method of change.

We were also lucky since we were harvesting time of our fields, despite not being as large as that of other villages, was enough to feed the entire village for two seasons, along with the grain left over from the previous harvest and the grain that we will buy, we will have enough to spend the four seasons, that if we do not have to waste these supplies.

We decided to leave in 6 days, the journey will last around 20 days. Maybe more if we have some mishap but again thanks to the minimap I can see if there are wild animals on the road that we can hunt or demonic creatures which we will avoid, we can also avoid contact with other people in this way, when they realize that the whole village has left us and we will be in the Pleiades surely.
