36 Leveling Up

"Now, Zack! Get those little bastards!"

Without a moment's hesitation, Zack surrounded his blade in the fierce emerald current. His shimmering blade illuminated the dark cave, as he ran back towards the paralyzed bats.

One by one, he delivered finishing blows to all the bats he could scan.

<"For slaying a lower tier monster, the experience points will be downscaled by 50%. You have received 300 experience points for slaying the Mature Super Sonar Kittibat.">

<You have received 350 experience points for slaying the Mature Super Sonar Kittibat, and have received a level gap bonus, for a total of 700 experience points">

That last notification rang out three more times as he continued delivering decisive blows!

He then struck at the two bats he couldn't scan, but his damage output was horrid.

As it stood, Zack wouldn't get a meaningful damage count out of his slashes. It was too late to change his strategy though, as they both stirred, getting ready to take flight from the ground.
