"Huh?"

A man wake up and look around, he can see the ceiling above and he is crrrently in this shabby place.

"Where am I? I did not die?"

his head still hrts and his vision was littler blurry but he force himself to stand up.

at this time a foot steps can be heard outside the room, its clearly heading into the room he is in.

he instinctively tried to grab his sword but he only touch the air, there is no sword ain his waist.

"Where is my sword?"

the foot step get closer and closer, then-

*creak*

the sound of the door opening and a woman come out from that door.

"Dawn, wake u- youre already up. you should go eat your breakfast and help me a little to get a woods to make a fire okay?"

A woman in her 30s speak to him with a warm in her voice,

"Wha-Mothe-how?"

Dawn was shock to the point where he cant utter a a whole word correctly.

"Of course I am, What? did you hit your head or something?

his mother went straight to him to tap his forehead sing her palm.

Dawn can feel the warm in his forehead

Wait, warm? if its a dream then how can I feel?

" Phew. It does not look like you have a fever."

his mother looks relieved but immediately looks worried when she saw her son pinching his cheeks

"What are you doing?"

she looks with Dawn with worried eyes.

Dawn immediately stop what he is doing.

"I am not really dreaming?"

"of course you are not. you should rest for today. I will manage to get the wood myself."

she dont know what is happening to her son so she thought that he should take a break.

"for now rest here for a while and I will bring you your breakfast."

she pat her sons head and kiss him on forehead.

Dawn did not know but when her hand land son his head and his forehead meet her mother lips, a water came out from his eyes. he is crying.

"Wha-whats wrong Dawn? did you hate the kiss that much?"

her son dont like to be kiss by her mother when he reach the age of ten because he said he is an adult now.

She should stop doing this from now on if he hate it to the point where he will cry.

"N-No, I-I just had a bad dream. An extremely bad dream mother."

Dawn can remember now. Her mother was a gentle and kind person. she often got tricked by others because of her kindness that is why he promised when he is eleven years old that he will protect his mother

"Oh, dont worry honey. Mom is always here for you."

Her mother hugged him really tight and brush his hair using her hand.

thats right. her mother was always there for him but he is also the reason why her mother die. She protected him from a demon who came out from the tower and swallowed the whole village.

what kind of illusion is this? it looks real, it feels real. I hope this wont end.

after a five minutes or so her mother let go

"Have you calm down now?"

"Yes mother. thank you."

"when did you become so formal in frony of you mother? ha you kid."

she brush his hair and laugh

"well then, I will prepare breakfast for Lord Arvin. call me if you need anything."

her mother rush through the kitchen to do her job.

Dawn decided to walk around here to collect more information.

he vaguely remember this "home" it looks normal mansion but compared to the out side houses this place was grand.

Then he smell a delicious smell coming from the other room

*Grr*

Dawn could feel his stomach growling because of hunger.

he went to that room and saw a lot of food ready to be eaten.

he grab a chicken drum stick at the middle of sthe table and happily eat.

Its a bliss!

"What a commoner doing here?!"

A loud voice rang out. the maids rush to see whats happening and what they saw is a young man eating a chicken drumstick barehand and Miss Livia with enrage looks.

The young man acted like he did not hear anything and continue to eat, that enraged Livia more.

Then suddenly a woman ran infront of Livia and kneel

" I apologized for my son rudeness, I will educate him properly next time, please punish me instead of him."

Diwa, mother of Dawn kneel and apologized.

Dawn was taken a back on what happen.

its just a chicken drumstick!

Livia did not even calm down and stomp the head of Diwa

"Your stupid son should be educated more dont you think?!"

she was about to stomp again but then a pain that she never expected came from her right foot.

*plop*

Dawn kicked her.

Dawn pour all his strength to that kick

She fall to the ground.

"Dont get cocky. its just a food. if you want that then here."

Dawn threw the half eaten chicken drumstick on Livia.

its oil make her dress stained and look dirty.

"WAAAA! GUARDS! ARREST HIM!!!"

Livia scream at the top of her lungs.

the guards was already on the way to their room but fasten their pace when they heard the Miss scream.

when they arrived they saw the Miss on the ground with a stain on her dress and looks like really hurt.

on the other side there is a young man standing in front of the kneeling woman. he is helping the woman to stand up.

he asked the maids beside him and then maid told him what exactly happened.

after hearing what happened the guard captain was ready to take the young man abd the wioman but a deep voice spoke behind him.

"All of you should disperse, I will handle this."

The guard captain and the maids look where the voice came from.

A man wearing a formal clothes walking downstair.

The lord of this place.

Baron Arvin.

"Yes, lord"

The guards and the maids run away to that room as fast as they can.

"What? are just gonna leave it like this?!"

Livia was really mad, shes hurt and her expensive dress was stained.

it will cost 2golds to clean it.

"I already call the priest to heal you, as for your dress i will cover the cost so dont make any commotion."

He sat in main sit and pour a wine himself and drink it.

"Are you not going to help me?!"

Livia was still mad, he dared to helped this commoners and make it looks like shes at the in whos in fault.

".Help yourself, I will not help you every time you make a mess."

He casually said and drink a wine.

"You!!"

Livia complain but Arvin did not care about it.

"Dawn you can eat with us if you like."

"What?!"

Livia cant believe what she just heard. The person who kick her jst got invitation from her hsband to eat!

"Does my mother allowed to?"

Dawn also did not pay any attention to Livia since the baron arrived.

the Baron look at Dawn like inspecting him before speaking.

"She is"

Livia cant find a right word tom express her anger right now. I will definitely pay you back.

she looks at Dawn and her mother.

after that the priest arrived and heal Livia injuries. The priest look shock that the injries came from the 14 years old child who doesnt even practice martial arts.

After healing Livia they leave immediately because they can sense the anger in Livia.

Dawn comeback to his room to recall some his memories.

"I remember now!"

My mother and I live under the Baron household. My Mother and the Baron was originally hsband and wife but since mother is commoner, Baron Arvin has to marry a noble woman for their territory and ended up marrying Livia who is daughter of a baron too.

he look at the calendar to see what year right now

"Maharlica Calendar 5th Month, Year 3271"

"7 months..."

he came back seven months before the towers appeared.

If this is real then this is a chance!

i must get stronger so no one can hurt anyone close to me!
