Hi! I had this sudden idea that I want to implement but writing those stuff would contradict some of the things I wrote in the previous chapters. So some of the first half of this chapter is dedicated to me just trying to set the foundation for that idea while justifying and fixing any possible contradiction that might occur.

Inside a quiet bedroom, the tapping sound of a keyboard is heard as Avery's fingers dance through it. While sitting on his comfortable chair, Avery's eyes focused on the monitor as he analyzes the current state of the stock market.

'Hmm… As expected, the stock prices of a lot of corporations and businesses are starting to take a dive.' Due to the sudden disaster brought by the Rain of Ascension, the rainfall of meteor crystals destroyed the production of factories, which disrupted the operations of organizations.

He then checks the stock prices of the companies he invested in.

'Just like the previous life, these companies took advantage of the Rain of Ascension and started to gain a steady rise in their stock prices.'

'I should let it sit there a little longer and wait for the stock prices to reach their peak before cashing them out.' Since Avery had the advantage of knowing the future, he could estimate and know when the stock prices of these would reach a peak. Thus, knowing when to sell the stocks he invested earlier.

After checking a few more things in the stock market, Avery decided to take another look at the Ascended Forum.

'Hmm… almost all the people here believe that this is just all a game due to the virtual interface of the system. Plus I doubt that the system would casually give information about the end of the earth to all the people.' Avery knew that if the system were to casually give out such sensitive information to all the players then, the world would be placed in a state of anarchy.

People would know that everything they have here on earth would be obsolete inside the Ascended World. With that kind of thinking, people would realize that the government and its laws no longer hold any value. They would plunder and do anything they want since they know that the planet is going to be destroyed anyway. The economy would fail and without it, agriculture, factories, and companies would no longer be able to continue their operations. Crimes would be committed left and right. In short, it would be a total disaster.

Avery knew this. He experienced it, and so 'I need to prepare for it.'

'I and Little Yue need to move to one of the secret private islands of our family.' As one of the previous prestigious families in the country. They had their own share of secrets. The secret island was made for emergency situations when the time comes for them to hide and secure themselves. Sadly, their family was not able to use it when they needed it the most as they did not expect a sudden betrayal from the branch families.

'Aside from that, We also need to stock up on some food while keeping our movement and identity hidden.' They have been living poorly since they needed to hide and lay low from the families that banded together to destroy them. They were successful in killing their parents and presumed that Avery and Yue died along with their parents. However, no bodies were found which made them doubtful if they were truly dead. As a result, some families decided to search and monitor any signs of their identity.

'Living in poverty seems to do some trick as they were not able to conduct an extensive search in areas in poverty. They probably thought that just because we were raised like royalty we would not be able to live properly in areas in poverty.' After a couple of months of no result from the search, they decided that Avery and Yue died with their parents. The search conducted was also one of the main reasons why they decided to hide the skills and education taught to them by their family, in which they could have earned money through hacking and assassination. However, Avery deemed that such acts would have brought attention to themselves and decided to hide in places like the one they used to stay at while working on various small jobs.

The problem was that he continued that lifestyle even after the search was done, even daring to gamble their money away. Luckily the training put through them allowed them to escape those loan sharks along with the gangs they brought.

'Now that I think about it, that decision was very stupid. The search ended and we had the skills to earn some money, I should have used it to our advantage to get a better life instead of gambling our fate away just like that.' Avery thought in embarrassment. 'Agghh... well everyone has their own dark history…' He then shook his head and dropped the topic as he continued to scroll through the Forums.

'Hmm… looks like some are discussing their unfavorable location, while some bragged about the favorable condition of their location.' Avery noticed that some of the discussion was leaning towards the geography of the Ascended World. They discussed the different regions they were placed in. Some were located in snowy plains, dry desert, or inside a jungle.

'Looks like it is still the same.' From their discussion, he was able to deduce and confirm that the geography of the Ascended World is exactly the same.

The central continent in which their village is located is filled with different kinds of biomes with plains being the most dominant one. The continent is filled with all kinds of resources from different kinds of biomes.

The Northern continent, which is separated from the central continent by a dangerous body of water that is filled with rough wind, waves, and whirlpools. Without a strong ship, crossing the water is almost impossible. The only way to pass through is by crossing the long thin landmass that connects the Northern and Central continents. The Northern continent is known for its densely packed forest and wide plains.

The Eastern continent, a large landmass that is separated from the Center through a large ocean, is filled with hills and mountains. It is a land perfect for mining different kinds of minerals.

Same with the Eastern continent, the Western continent is also a large landmass that is separated from the center by an ocean. It is filled with icy mountains, snowy plains, and cold forests. This continent is also considered the coldest place in the Ascended World. Interestingly the ocean in between the Eastern and Central continents is filled with numerous floating islands. It is a place where flying creatures thrived.

Lastly, south of the Central continent is an archipelago with hundreds of thousands of islands of varying sizes. Here the maritime industry will thrive as there are numerous rare sea creatures located here. Numerous beautiful beaches and different kinds of unique resources can be found here.

After checking through the forums and confirming that things are still the same, Avery decided to go back to the Ascended World with his sister. It's been 5 hours since they woke up which means that 10 hours have passed in the Ascended World. It would already be morning inside the Ascended World by the time they arrive there.

Avery then stood up and stretched before going to the living room where his sister is watching the news.
