2 Back in Time | Little Yue

"Agghh…"

A young man groaned and felt pain all over his body. He opened his eyes and found himself in a familiar room. The room looked worned out with some of the wooden walls protruding outwards. The only thing the room contained was a small broken desk, a cabinet with its cover only hanging in one hinge, and a hard bed without a mattress.

"Where am I?" Finding himself in an unknown room but seemingly familiar room.

He unconsciously channelled magic around his body but only for his eyes to open wide since he can't trace a single ounce of magic in his body.

"Huh!! What's wrong? Where's my magic?!" Exclaimed the young man as he looked inside his body only to be surprised as his body does not even have mana veins for magic to work. But what caught his attention is the hand clock he found in his chest; it resembles the artifact he found which led to his downfall. Focusing on it, the familiar box-like screen appeared in his mind.

An ancient artifact capable of sending a person back in time. The artifact is incomplete and the user has to collect more parts in order to unleash the power held within it.

Activation - To activate one must die and fuse his blood with the artifact. Upon activation the user is sent back in time before his world experiences the ascension.

"What is this?" The young man unconsciously asked as he blankly stared at the screen in front of him. The artifact that showed no description aside from the question marks, now has more information added to it.

Though what made his stare like that was the contents of the screen in front of him. He starts to look around his room hoping that it's true.

The young man stood up from his bed to confirm the content of the screen but fell down instead creating a resounding loud sound on the wooden floor.

The young man groaned in pain. "Arghh…"

A hurried foot step is heard as the door in the room loudly opens with a young beautiful girl running towards the young man.

"Big Brother! Why are you up!? You should be resting and letting your wound heal!" A soft and beautiful word was heard by the young man.

'Little Yue...' The young man thought as he slowly looked up, and there a cute beautiful face with worry plastered all over her face was shown in front of him as tears slowly formed in his eyes.

"Big Brother!"

Upon hearing those words that he had hoped to hear again, his eyes started to get wet as a drop of tear fell from his eyes.

"What happened!?" The young girl said, becoming more worried as she saw a tear fall down.

The voice snapped the young man out as he rushed in and hugged his sister. The tears coming out of his eyes start to intensify as more tears start to fall.

"Wa! Wha!? What's happening to you!" The young girl exclaimed in surprise and tried to weakly push him off. Though you could see a tint of blush forming on her beautiful face as her big brother hugged her.

"Little Yue! ... I'm sorry... Forgive me for failing you..." Avery muttered as he hugged her tighter in fear of losing her again.

"What are you talking about!?" The confused young girl asked again with her blush deepening making her face look more like a tomato.

"Please… Don't leave me again…. Please…." Avery silently whimpered as his face became a crying mess.

"Of course! I won't leave you! I'll stay with you and follow you everywhere you go because... I love you." Little Yue said while muttering the last part which the young man did not hear due to the current state of his mind.

Avery silently cried more both in pain and relief as Little Yue hugged him back while comforting him.

After a couple of minutes of comforting and reassuring by Little Yue. Avery finally calmed down.

"Is everything alright now, Big Brother?"

"Yes, thank you Little Yue" Avery said as he reluctantly released her.

"You should go back to bed and rest. Your wound is still not healed" Little Yue said, with slight disappointment as the warmth she felt from his hug disappeared.

"Hm." Avery slowly stood up with the help of Little Yue and laid on the bed.

"I'll go get some water. So you should stay still. Ok, Big Brother?" Little Yue asked or more likely ordered. She went to the door and left the room. Leaving Avery staring at her back as she slowly left the room.

"It's real. I can finally be with her." Avery sighed in relief.
