Inside a large cage in a dark space, Mother's Milk and Frenchie are sitting on the floor talking with their hands cuffed.

"Move! Move!"

Two armed guards said as they pushed a cuffed and head-covered individual towards the cage, they threw him inside after removing his head mask shortly after and left the area.

"You okay? What happened to Butcher?"

Frenchie said on his knees as he and Mother's Milk helped raise Hughie.

"He went after Homelander... but I'm here to save you guys."

Hughie said with a confident smile, facing the two men.

"Wait... let me get this straight. You allowed yourself to be captured to save us? .. How the fuck are you going to do that?"

Mother's Milk questioned in disbelief with Frenchie looking at Hughie like he's a fool.

"I have a pick in my retainer, you just need to take it out and voila, we are good to go."

Hughie said as he opened his mouth to show his retainer.

"Okay, here what's going to happen. I'm going to count from three to zero and knock that thing outta your mouth."

"Three... two.."

"Wai-"

He couldn't finish speaking before Mother's Milk hit his mouth with his cuffed hands making him fall to the ground with the pick out of his mouth.

"That hurt."

Hughie said, rubbing his chain as he got up.

The rest just shook their heads and opened their cuffs, the next moment they left the cage.

They knocked out guards and took their weapons as they navigated through the place and after five minutes found Kimiko in a room that had a glass panel separating it from the outside.

"Kimiko...."

Frenchie went close to the glass panel and said in a smooth voice, making her wake up and look at him with a weak smile.

"Look out!"

Mother's Milk warned and pulled Frenchie back as numerous guards arrived and shot at him.

They ducked from the gunshots and hid behind a stone barricade that was nearby.

Frenchie and Mother's Milk started shooting the guards, occasionally killing some of them with most of the shots missing.

Mother's Milk then gave a nod to Frenchie who then left after giving his rifle to Hughie to save Kimiko.

"Aah!"

Hughie screamed hysterically as he got up and started shooting the guards haphazardly, killing many in the process and buying enough time for Frenchie to come back with the drowsy Kimiko.

<Click!>

"...Oh shit."

Hughie said and immediately ducked as his ammo got finished with the guards retaliating with vigor, making numerous bullets hit the stone barricade they were hiding behind.

The next moment the guards surrounded them all over and pointed their guns on them.

"Put your hands in the air now!"

A guard shouted, making Hughie and Mother's Milk drop their guns. They rose their hands soon after and turned to face the barricade.

"Aah!"

Suddenly, a blinding light hit some of the guards and sent them flying.

When the gang turned to see what's going on, they saw Starlight in her costume beating the guards.

In two minutes, all the guards where on floor knocked out with Starlight's eyes glowing.

"C'mon let's go."

She said to the dumbstruck crew and started walking away, they followed soon after with Hughie coming to her side.

"Why?"

He asked in a confused tone as they walked towards the exit.

"...Like you said, I'm a hero."

She replied with a smile that brought a smile to Hughie's face as they arrived at the garage type gate.

She grabbed the handle of the gate and rose it with one hand, giving Mother's Milk, Frenchie and Kimiko the chance to leave.

"Go."

Starlight said to Hughie, gesturing at the exit.

"Alright, I will see y--"

<Bang!>

The door suddenly fell down.

"Well well well, what do we have here?"

Starlight and Hughie turned to face the voice, thier faces turning fearful as they saw Virgil slowly walking towards them in his suit.

"D-Deva what are you doing here?"

Starlight asked fearfully as she faced him.

"I could ask the same of you. I never thought you will help the criminals, you never seize to amaze me Annie."

Virgil said with a sarcastic smile on his face as glanced at Hughie who is hyperventilating.

"Please.... step aside and leave, this isn't your business."

Starlight said in a pitiful tone as her eyes shined with the lights blinking.

"I assure you that this is very much my business Annie. You see I could've destroyed them the moment this guy killed Translucent but I didn't, do you know why?"

Virgil questioned calmly as he drew closer to them slowly.

"Its because they didn't harm my interests, now you guys tried to release Compound V to the public and tried to sabotage Vought... that's something I can't allow."

"Why are you even fighting for Vought!? You are a billionaire with your own company that has no relation to Vought so why?"

Starlight questioned nervously as she took a battle posture with the glow in her eyes growing more and more, some of the lights shattering as a result.

As he reached just a few meters away from them, his red eyes started glowing and said,

".... That's because its mine."

"Arrgh!" "Arrgh..."

Starlight and Hughie exclaimed in pain as they felt something heavy press them flat unto the ground, unable to get up.

"Come."

Virgil commanded in a low tone with outstretched fingers and the next second, Starlight's body moved through the air and arrived in front of him, her body unable to move with tears forming in her eyes.

"I won't kill you Annie despite what you've done after all, you are still useful. But someone isn't going to be lucky."

Virgil said with no emotion present on his face as he looked at Starlight's tear stained face.

"...Please don't do this."

She pleaded but Virgil ignored her and looked at the screaming Hughie who floated into the air the next second, with tears coming down his eyes as he looked at Starlight.

"I'm sorry Annie, just know that I lo--"

<Splack!>

Virgil clenched his fist, making Hughie's body explode into blood and gore.

"Noooo!"

Starlight screamed hysterically with tears pouring out of her eyes as she looked at the scene.

"Next time it might be your mom so think before you do anything related to betrayal again."

Virgil said and with a chop to her neck, knocked her out.

"Send her to the infirmary."

Virgil said and calmly left the place as if nothing happened.

As he left, A-Train walked and arrived in front Starlight's body with a trace of fear in his eyes.

"I always say Deva is way more scarier than Homelander but no one believes me.

Today wasn't your lucky day Starlight, at least now you know how I feel."

A-Train muttered and placed Starlight's body on his shoulders and zoomed away, leaving behind a puddle of blood with body parts scattered all over the place.

In the morning, in front of a two-storey house. Butcher was lying on the lawn with Homelander standing in front of the house as Ryan and Becca came out.

"Wakey Wakey sunshine, you don't want to miss this."

He said to Butcher who just woke up with a smile on his face.

The mother and son duo came unto the lawn just a few meters away from Homelander with Butcher looking at Becca with disbelief.

"Hey Buddy, do you know who I am?"

Homelander crouched to Ryan's level and asked with a smile.

"My dad?"

He responded with an unsure tone with no enthusiasm.

"Yeah, you must be smart to figure that out."

Homelander praised with a bright smile.

"Uhm, Uncle V told me a long time ago how you look like so I just guessed."

He said.

"Uncle V?..... I see, someone has been busy. Let me do something real quick and come right now buddy."

Homelander said with a forced smile, his face slightly twitching as he stood up and walked towards the fainted Butcher.

"Please don't kill him."

Becca said as Homelander grabbed Butcher like trash.

"Why shouldnt I?"

"Otherwise you won't get to see your son."

Becca threatened with a resolute expression on her face as she looked him in the eye.

They stared at each other for a while before Homelander broke the silence.

"Hmmm, okay. We will discuss this in detail when I'm done."

He said and the next second flew away with Butcher in tow, leaving behind a flustered Becca and a confused Ryan.
