"Its been two days since the horrific terrorist attack on our beloved country.
President George W.Bush has declared war on global terrorism and has vowed to take revenge for the atrocities that the terrorist organization Al'Queda has committed.
Vought International together with Vought Technology have donated a total of five hundred million dollars to help those who were affected.
With Deva saving a lot of people and Homelander protecting the Pentagon, I can say that this country owes Vought a debt of gratitude for all that they have done for us.
That concludes this morning's news broadcast, have a lovely day everyone."
The female news caster ended her broadcast which was being shown on the large flat screen television on the wall facing my expensive desk that I was currently sitting behind in my office in the Tower.
I don't know if I should call the attack a godsent opportunity or not because due to this event the companies ratings and stock market price and value has increased exponentially.
This event alone has increased our stock value by forty percent and together with Homelander and Deva becoming household names, the companies reputation has gone through the roof.
This is all because of Virgil, this young man alone has done a lot for the company than any body has.
This is the reason why even though he has taken over Vought Tech, no one has tried to do anything... not that anyone can but no matter what he is still a property of Vought and he knows it.
So no matter how rebellious he acts, he is still our most valuable product and asset and everything he has done proves how loyal he is to the company.
But he is still dangerous, so far all my plans of discovering his weakness or anything that can tie him down has been for naught.
The only thing I can use to my advantage is how lustful he is, given how he didn't even spare his female employees.
I don't consider it as a weakness as he is too smart to let lust cloud his judgment but this is still something to work with.
<Knock knock>
"Come in."
I said to the person who knocked.
A beautiful blond woman in her late twenties dressed in a professional attire entered my office with some files on hand.
She is Madelyn, the Vice President of Hero Management and my disciple.
"Sir please, here are the reports you asked for."
She said calmly as she arrived in front of my desk and placed a heavy file on top of it.
I wore my glasses and read the file as she stood in front of my desk quietly.
This file shows detailed information about a group of people i was putting together to be the main face of this company, like how Payback was but only a lot better.
The list featured seven powerful individuals who were at the top of their food chain with the youngest person being a young beautiful girl.
She was currently in Hero college but based on her track record and superpowers she has the potential of being one of the strongest supes, only second to Homelander and Deva.
Deva was planned to be part of the Team but knowing him he won't agree to it any longer. But I can still give him a special position in the team.
After a couple of minutes of reading, I closed the file and looked at Madelyn.
"Tell me Madelyn, what do you think of Deva. Give me your honest opinions."
I asked her all of a sudden with a small smile.
She was surprised but she composed herself in seconds and answered.
"Hmmm, we haven't interacted that much but honestly I think he is scary."
"Hoh, and why do you think so?"
I asked with my hand gesturing her to take a seat on the chair in front of my desk as I relaxed on my comfy chair.
"Its hard to explain but each time I see him it's like everything is under his control and it's like he can predict what you will say and do.
Last two days, when I called him for help as you said I should do, he didn't even sound surprised about the situation and calmly instructed me. Honestly, I'm afraid of his intelligence."
She explained with a face laced with slight fear.
"Your reaction is perfectly normal, anybody who has interacted with him knows how scary he is. You dont really know a lot about him but he is much more dangerous than Homelander. Only executives and the top brass know this, but when Deva and Homelander were children they fought and can you guess who won?"
"Its John who won right? I've heard rumours that Deva is as strong as Homelander but that's false right? I mean I've seen what he did to the aircraft but Homelander can carry more than that so I don't think he is even remotely as strong as Homelander."
She said, a little unsure of her answer.
"Haha, that's a funny but logical answer given Deva hasn't done a lot of impressive feats with regards to his superpowers.
The truth is that Deva manhandled Homelander, Doctor Vogelbaum said Deva was just playing around and that if he was serious he could've hurt him.
Homelander is more powerful than he was as a kid so I'm sure at the very least they are evenly matched at the moment.
You see Madelyn, the lesson here is that this company is very deep.
There are a lot of secrets that you don't know off and a lot of absurd things that have happened. The more you advance the more you will get to know of all these secrets, I just hope you will be ready to hear them when you get there."
I explained smoothly with a small smile on my face when I saw her shocked face.
"I don't need to tell you how dangerous he is, thankfully he is extremely lustful.
We can use this to our advantage but I don't count on it that much and neither should you but we can still use it.
I'm going to leave this up to as you've already succeeded in wrapping Homelander around your finger so you should know a thing or two on what to do."
I continued with a devious smile which she saw and responded back with one of her own.
One thing I like about her is how cunning she is, she will use everything in her arsenal to get what she wants and that's what brought her this far.
Its extremely foolish to think she can control him and honestly I don't think she can succeed.
But Madelyn doesn't know that so I want to see how she will go about this one.
"Okay Mr Edgar, I will try my best. I wont dare underestimate him but I will do all I can."
She replied with a confident smile.
.....Well at least she is confident.
"Okay if that's all then you can leave."
I dismissed her.
She nodded and left the room a few moments later.
Hmmm, now that I think about it I can send Nadia.
No it's too risky and there is no guarantee he doesn't already know her.
Okay, I will take things slow. It's not like he will run away so I have all the time in the world.
Eventually I will discover his weakness, no asset of mine will be left uncontrolled. Even if it's the smartest man in the world.
And with that I left my desk and sat on one of the sofas in the middle of the office and poured myself a drink, as I thought of all the plans I need to set in motion.
