19 06 - Becoming Friends ---pfft--- With Nie Li...
Over the next few days, Fang Lin fell into a routine of accompanying Ning'er, Xiao Bai, and Ye Ziyun for breakfast in his courtyard even going out for window shopping sometimes. The food was of course made Fang Lin himself. After that was done, Fang Lin would go explore the abyss prison realm in order farm for more IP and actually making decent earnings. Once night falls, he would teleport back Glory City and of course without ever letting anyone see him. It's not that Fang Lin was afraid of them, especially now that he has Albion. The reason would be that it would become too troublesome to deal with those big families in there when all he wanted was to farm IP for now...
The fact that Fang Lin was able to teleport helped greatly as it negated his needs of cracking the formation and using the lightstones every time he wants to either enter or leave. Once back in Glory City though, Fang Lin does not return to his courtyard yet and actually visits Yang Xin to... talk... about alchemy. Lately she had been a bit touchy but at the same time giving Fang Lin mixed messages. At one time she would treat him like one would their younger brother while at other times, she would stick to Fang Lin like glue and her hands start roaming. Fang Lin does not know what to do at this and opted to just think about it at a later date.
As for how his morning breakfast ritual happened... well it was due to Ye Ziyun bombarding Ning'er with any question she could think of about of in order to learn more about her 'supposed' fiance. The topic of Fang Lin's cooking 'Skill' eventually came up. Despite Ning'er claiming otherwise, Ye Ziyun still thought she definitely exaggerated a lot. How can someone, a boy no less, be such a good cook that made any other food taste like sand in comparison? Filled with curiosity, Ye Ziyun proposed that they have Fang Lin prove it during breakfast and the rest was history.
As for the topic of having Ning'er integrate her Zanpakuto into her soul realm... they were met with disappointment as the process would fail every time she tried. It was not fruitless endeavor however as Ning'er felt it was possible. The only reason for failure that Ning'er could think of was that she had not yet learned the 'Name' of her sword yet. As such, the zanpakuto would resist every time she tried the integration. As the 'Zanpakuto' was basically a part of Ning'er herself, it would basically means she herself was purposefully failing that process on purpose hence there would be no integration as of yet.. at least until she could learn the name of that sword of hers.
Other notable thing that happened these few days was that there are now rumors currently circulating about Fang Lin and the two girls. One such rumor was that Fang Lin had seduced the fiance of Shen Fei, Xiao Ning'er which of course made Shen Fei furious when he heard the news. As Fang Lin was barely seen however, there was no one to confront about it. As for confronting Ning'er... well they tried however, every time they got close, some weird accidents would occur around them and most of the times they were very humiliating. The strange thing that no one seemed to have notice however, there was always a little kitten loitering around the scene of the 'crime'.
Other rumors stated that the rumored handsome genius, Fang Lin was openly recruiting harem members... mostly started by the female populace though for some reason... As such, whenever Fang Lin was seen on the street, a group would always crowd around him trying their best to present themselves to him. In other words... he's got ---shivers--- 'fan girls'! When Fang Lin heard said rumor, he almost choked on his own spit and cursed out loud. Recruiting a harem? Recruit your head! He was only accompanying them to shopping... how the in the heck did anyone came to that conclusion? And also these fangirls... ugh, no wonder Sasuke went missing-nin... screw Itachi, it was definitely because of these fangirls...
Right... that was also another thing that Fang Lin never wanted to think about... It seems that due to his 'tragic tales', and a combination of his other worldly handsome look and decent personality, he's got himself... fangirls..... *cue the shudder*. In other words, he became a Sasuke clone! Fang Lin really wanted to curse the 'Gold Identity Token' for that alas... it wasn't a person so he had nowhere to turn his hatred towards...
It was a really tense moment for Fang Lin when the rumors reached the City Lord. When Ye Zong confronted Fang Lin about the rumors, he could only bitterly deny any accusations and explained that he was just accompanying the girls for shopping and nothing more. As for the matter of recruiting harem members... Ye Zong just gave him the stink eye and refused to believe him no matter what he explained. At this, Fang Lin wanted to cry but there were no tears to shed. Really...! He had no hands in that... at least not yet but no one needed to know this.
It seemed that Fang Lin might need to disappear from public views for a week or so... maybe months to let the rumors die down a little. As for gemstone pendant Fang Lin found back in the ruins, he just gifted it to Ye Ziyun to help speed up her cultivation in order to catch up with the others. It was doing wonders too as of now, Ye Ziyun reached 3-Star Bronze rank. At the rate she's cultivating, along with the elixirs Fang Lin got from his... chat... with Yang Xin, it wouldn't be a surprise if she could reach Gold rank by the time they reach the yearly examination date that's 2 months from now.
Speaking of Yang Xin and the new elixirs, Fang Lin had somehow convinced her to only publicize only 1 formula for now as he still needed to Nie Li to do his thing. Wouldn't it be a tragedy if Nie Li was too weak and died by the hands of the Sacred Family? If that were to happen, wouldn't Fang Lin have to do everything by himself? Forget it, ain't nobody's got time for that...

It was now their 9th day in this world and as on schedule, Nie Li discredited and shamed the Sacred Family for their plagiarism on inscription patterns. As a result, he was given the librarian clerk position in order to give him some form of protection against the Sacred Family for when they retaliate.
Speaking of Nie Li... he was given that introduction he had asked Ye Ziyun for on that same day, when Nie Li and his group went to their hangout spot in the library and 'coincidentally' meeting Fang Lin. During that time, Fang Lin, Ning'er and Ye Ziyun were hanging out in the library since Fang Lin took a break from all the farming he's done recently. While Fang Lin was helping Ye Ziyun out with some of the questions she had on cultivation, it was at this time when Nie Li and his group happened to pass by and intruded into their little group. The true reason Nie Lie came over was because he was feeling a slight pull and resonance coming Fang Lin although he didn't know what it was.
The whole time Nie Li was talking with them, he was always cleverly disguising his words in conversations to probe what kind of person and he found that he was a 'decent' person. Although whether or not Nie Li would extend his help... that would have to wait for a bit more. As a final test, Nie Li was shamelessly asking Fang Lin if he could help him buy a shit ton of 'Purple Haze Grass' for a little project of his.
Hearing the request, Fang Lin was 'surprised' at the coincidence as he recently procured a huge amount of the stuff for some of his alchemy experiments, so he offered to give Nie Li as many as he needed. Although, Fang Lin was smirking inside the whole time throughout the whole conversation, yet none of it showed on the outside... Maybe he should have taken up acting in his previous life... would have the best one of there is. Alas, this is his new life now...
Nie Li on the other hand was ecstatic to having gained Fang Lin's 'help' and decided to give him a chance and trusted him a little. It was then that Nie Li decided to test all their soul realm form and attributes so he could give them better cultivation manuals which would suit them. Fang Lin and Ning'er would naturally refused, politely of course, saying that they don't have any spare unused soul crystal on hand. The true reason however, was so that they could their cultivation realm from Nie Li and the rest.
Ye Ziyun was the only to accept though only out of curiosity however she was completely surprised when Nie Li had offer to give her the same cultivation manual that Fang Lin had recently given her. How did Fang Lin knew to give her this technique before?... Did he do it fully knowing what her soul form and attribute were... even though she herself didn't even know it. Suddenly Fang Lin became even more mysterious in her eyes. This in turn, made her turn towards Ning'er, her eyes promising another bout of endless Q and A about what kind of person Fang Lin is.
This in turn, caused Ning'er to look towards Fang Lin with squinted eyes, as if accusing him of something. Fang Lin on the other hand could only sweat drop at that... No... seriously.. even if you look at him like that, he didn't even doing anything...? After some chatting, Fang Lin and the girls excused themselves leaving only Nie Li and his groups to continue with their own practices. With only a couple more days before Chen Linjian starts with his 'exploration' group, Fang Lin wanted to focus on practicing with his sacred gear before also joining in that expedition.
Why join that expedition even though he looted pretty much everything already? Fang Lin's goal naturally was to capture the members of the Dark Guild that would be following them! Sigh... it seems there won't many chances for him to take any breaks for following days... on the other hands... look out Dark Guild members... soon you will be completely wiped out from Glory City and helping me complete one of my main mission! With that last though, Fang Lin teleported into the Abyss Prison Realm and activated his Balance Breaker.
