13 Saving the... night?

I'd lived for a rather long time now and it never ceased to amaze me how reliant most sentient races were on rope and chains to bind their opponents. I mean it had come to the point where nearly everyone was using them. Did it never occur to them that someone could develop a counter for this?

After ending up bound by ropes quite a few times in my youth I had soon developed a way to get out of these situations. It was an alteration of the life bestowal spell that was tweaked to be especially effective on ropes and chains. Interestingly, I had never created a chant for this spell which made it very difficult for others to learn.

I cast the spell and felt a slight jolt go through the ropes. Simultaneously I cast the noise cancellation spell as to not alert anyone outside my tent. It would be a shame if Helena got wind of my escape and threw the chief into the river before I could get there. And I really wasn't feeling like using a revival spell, that crap gave me headaches every single time I used it.

The two warriors thought me taken care of and weren't paying much attention to me. They only noticed the snaking ropes when they were already being wrapped up by them. The ropes bound their wrists behind their backs, secured their arms, and tied their ankles together.

They were, of course, screaming throughout the process. I could tell that they had never studied or used magic so I didn't bother gagging them, the noise cancellation of the tent would suffice. Plus, hearing their indignant screams was fun.

"Now ladies, would you be so kind as to tell me where the chief is?"

""We won't tell you anything!""

"Really? That's funny, I think you won't last long. But let me ask you this, when have you last shared the bed with someone?"

"What? Are you going to force yourself on us?!"

"No, I doubt you would talk if I did that. I'll just do this. Laukaris!"

I cast the spell and released a long breath. Purplish pink smoke exited my mouth and spread inside the tent.

"What was that? If it's poison we aren't scared of dying."

"No need to hide your fear behind brave words. I can smell your fear no matter how hard you try to deny it. And let's face it, all mortals fear death. But that's not what will happen to you. This spell creates an effect similar to a very potent aphrodisiac by igniting any pent up lust in you."

"What is this! My body feels so hot. I need to... Release me this instant!"

"Yelling won't do you any good. If I were to release you you'd just give yourself release. I might think about it if you tell me what I want to know."

Barely a minute had passed and they were already struggling against the ropes with desperate faces. The ropes were pulled taught by their trembling muscles. One of them had even started to drool and moan.

"You are evil... cruel... horrible!"

"I think the word you are searching for is sadistic. And yes, I'm a sadist, so what? You are the ones aiding Helena to kill your own chief. As far as good and evil go I hold the moral high ground."

They continued squirming on the ground but the one who had been drooling before seemed about to lose it. Her eyes became glazed with lust and every breath she took was labored.

"I'll tell you... Just make it stop... Behind the chief's tent... A direct path to the river... Ah, make it stop!"

"Where is the chief's tent?"

"The largest tent... Turn right after leaving the tent."

The one who was still persevering gave her talking companion a furious glare. The other one had completely given up and was only waiting for me to stop her painfully pleasurable suffering.

"You told me what I need to know. You may enjoy your suffering."

My words acted as a trigger for the lust and pleasure accumulating in my captives' bodies. The building pressure was released all at once and flooded their bodies with immense pleasure. They spasmed like crazy until they lost consciousness.

I left the tent and turned to the right. The large tent at the back of the camp was hard to miss. Directly entering the tent I found it empty. Next to the messy pile of furs, presumably the bed, an opening had been cut through the furs. From the opening a path of freshly stomped vegetation led away from the camp. By following said path I was sure to arrive at the river and find the chief.

I leisurely jogged along the path while making sure not to breach the sonic barrier and alarm my opponents. Soon I reached the riverbanks and found a small group of people there.

The chief, easy to make out due to her hair was completely wrapped in rope. Except for her head and feet there was hardly any place that wasn't covered by the ropes. Her back was turned to me so I couldn't see her face but since she wasn't screaming for help they had probably gagged her.

My arrival had gone completely unnoticed. There were four warriors, two were holding her while the other two seemed to have just returned from checking the surroundings. I could use the same rope trick as before but I didn't really feel like it so I just invaded their minds and knocked them out.

The chief's senses were quite good, the second she felt the warriors grip on her loosen she threw herself backwards as far away from that river as possible. Since she was now lying on her back I could see her face and that she was indeed gagged. A rope was used to fixate a bundle of cloth in her mouth.

The problem here was that this tribe shouldn't be able to produce cloth yet. Come to think of it, neither should they possess ropes of such length and quality. This reeked of trouble!

To add another worrisome thing, Helena wasn't here...
