1 New Beginnings

What? Where am I? Last thing I remember, I was walking down the street and then I hear this weird noise coming from the ground. Whatever I need to figure out where in the hell I am! Looking around I see some trees, a creek, and an animal? It has 2 heads, four limbs, and what looks to be antlers this thing is definitely not from Earth. After looking at this animal for a bit I go over to the creek and start drinking water, for some reason I was unbelievably parched.

As I'm drinking a prompt appears and the system says "Congratulations you have been unanimously picked to be part of game where even the gods are watching. Whoever is the last competitor standing wins and gets to become a god themselves. You first start off at the bronze age and advance until you are able to fight in space with huge ships and other cool shit. You have also been given a system that every competitor gets, however all systems are different and some are more powerful than others, so its really just luck of the draw."

The the prompt closes and I sit back and wonder how I'm going to win when I don't even have a source of food or housing. As I'm contemplating what to do I hear a rustle in the bushes behind me. I turn around and get into a fighting stance in case since its probably a wild animal hoping to get a meal. Out of the bushes comes an old man and another 100 people behind him.

"Hello my lord!" the old man exclaims.

"Uh hi?" I reply back uncertain of what to do.

"Ah you must be confused of why I'm here" he says. "Me and the villagers behind me are your starting gift from the gods themselves. We shall be the ones who follow you as you start your great empire. We have also prepared gifts for you so you may start your journey of cultivation. We will start building the village here while you focus on cultivating your mana."

"Thank you for these gifts, they are much appreciated." I reply. After I finish the villagers start unpacking their supplies and personal belongings. I see that a cave is nearby so I go in their and look at the contents the villagers gave me. Inside the bag is a book, some pills, and what seems to be a pill that is completely black.

I sit down on the cold floor and start looking at the book that was inside the bag. It's a completely black book with signs engraved on the front cover. I open it up and start reading the contents inside, it gives a detailed explanation of what pose you need to start gathering mana from the environment. It then explains what the pills and that black pill are, the pills help you gain mana faster from your environment and in some special occasions give you a boost in mana. The black pill however gives you more affinity towards what the book calls the death element and it also gives you a damage output increase when you use the element as well.

I sit cross legged with my hands on my kneecaps and start to try and gather mana. A prompt appears in front of me "Due to player having the cultivator system you absorb mana at an increased rate and the mana is of a better quality." After that I see a bar pop up and looks to be a experience bar and I assume that it will go up when I gather mana.

1 Day Later

After a day of absorbing the mana from the environment I finally hit 100% on the XP bar. Another system prompt appears and says "Congratulations you are now a rank 1 Human-Mage. There are three levels of a mage and inside each level is 10 ranks. The levels are Human Mage Rank 1-10, Demi-Human Mage Rank 1-10, and finally God Mage Rank 1-Infinity since there is no limit to your power a a god."

Damn this system really knows on how to shit on my success. However I'm excited to see what god level magic can do but I should go check on the villagers and see how how far they've gotten making the village. I walk out of the cave and to my utter surprise I see an actual bronze age village that seemingly came out of nowhere. I see the old man talking to some of the other villagers and telling them where to put what.

I walk over to him and ask "How in the hell did you build this in only one day!?"

"Haha we builders have a system that allows us to put materials into a menu and then the building starts to build itself, but of course the bigger the project the longer its going to take to build" He replies laughing. "We also built the main house for you to sleep in at night and since you've been meditating for a day straight I bet you're tired so why don't you go make that house useful and go to sleep for a bit.

Deciding to take his advice I head to the main house which is now my house and fall to sleep very quickly.
